Hi all

been reading threads and trying to take it all in!

Orderd MJ through VOYwhich arrived yesterday and is 2.5mg
I’ll be starting in a few days when I’m off antibiotics

I have been so inspired by people have shared their stats and even photos - some amazing transformations! And lots of readers help me have ask the same questions of the OP as we all want to know the same kind of thing so thought it would be great to see who is happy to share the stats of their journey so far?

  • Start weight and Start Date
  • Current weight and how many weeks/months it took from start date
  • Dosage stats - what mg and when you changed doses
  • any specific diet followed
  • what exercise, if any, are you doing
  • Any top tips or advice you’d like to share about your journey so far

Would be great to see lots of real life current stats here so we can see in one place how it’s working for real users - Thank you so much to anyone who contributes!

Yep, an average of 1.3lbs a week.
I'm happy with that, my shape is changing quicker than the scales. I'm a very comfortable size 14, my belly is disappearing very quickly and I don't seem to be having any side effects.
My dose is 7.5, the 2.5 worked really well, the 5 did virtually nothing and I was again starving all the time.
Its time to order my next pen and I'm debating whether to go up to 10 or another month of 7.5.

mounjarorocks · 27/07/2024 20:33

@MooFroo I already use the gym regularly and walk a lot but diet wise I am having more veg/salad and more protein. And just cut out the crap.

SuperBatFace · 27/07/2024 20:38

Hello. I've shared my journey before but happy to share again!

Started in April

Start weight 14 stone 12 lbs and I currently weight about 11 stone 2 so nearly 4 stone off in about 4 months

Always stayed on 2.5mg but recently I have shortened the days a little between injections

I don't follow a specific diet but I am vegan (ish) - just try and eat 3 times a day

Yes to exercise . I do spin 2/3 times a week, I swim about twice a week and I go on walks.

My top tip would be to just trust the process! Oh and look at your weight loss over a period of 30 days- not weekly. Because 30 day periods is where you will see the proper losses

I've got about 14-20lbs to go

What’s your Start+Current weight, dosage and time on injections?
SilenceInside · 27/07/2024 20:41

Started MJ 2.5mg 3 weeks ago.
SW 139kg
CW 131kg

No specific diet, just trying to eat small amounts regularly and prioritise protein over carbs. No particular exercise atm other than trying to walk more.

Tirzepatide · 27/07/2024 20:42

SW 110 kg/242 lbs/17 st 4 lbs
CW 103.5 kg/228 lbs/16 st 4 lbs
Loss 6.5 kg/14 lbs/1 st
6 weeks
no specific diet but actively choose healthy, nothing banned though. Focus on protein and veg/fruit.
Doses (mg) 2.5, 2.5, 2.5, 2.5, 3.2, 4.2, 4.2 (holiday so stayed put rather than edging up more towards 5.0 mg). I’m probably going up to 5 next and will stay there until suppression too weak.
Tips: buy the 1 ml needles for the bonus dose - linked in continuing thread; don’t rush up doses - stay put if you’re getting good suppression and ease yourself up to next dose (I obviously haven’t got enough direct experience to say this but have picked this up from American users who are further ahead).
Exercise limited due to a foot injury and I lose slower now at 50 but I’m happy with the pace. Next step is to add in weights and actually do my physio exercises!

@SuperBatFace I loved your post with photos - it’s partly what inspired me to start this to see what kind of starting points people were at and progress to date - it all varies hugely!

Loving your results and attitude and amazing results! I’m v similar starting weight to yours and would love to get close to your results! Will be starting first 2.5g of Mounjaro next week - on antibiotics at the moment so don’t want to mix things up too much!

@MooFroo no reason why you won't get the same results. I know - in real life - two friends also doing this and it's so weird how similar we are in terms of losses and how the weight comes off in fits and starts (cos of course weight loss isn't linear)

I'll keep an eye out on your progress and wish you all the best. And it's a good idea for a thread - it's good to see how people are getting on and what their start weights were

SW: 230lbs
CW: 213.6lbs
Time and dose: exactly 4 weeks on 2.5mg Mounjaro
Diet: Calorie counting, sticking to around 1200 per day. Not eliminating anything but eating smaller portions, snacking less, and trying to reduce sugar/starchy carbs.
Exercise: Some light strength training first couple of weeks, nothing last two weeks for various reasons.

SilenceInside · 27/07/2024 23:21

@MooFroo it is a bit insane, especially as 2.5mg isn't meant to necessarily result in weight loss!

Because I'm so overweight, I don't think that many people would notice the weight loss just yet. All my clothes are much looser and I've been able to start wearing things that I haven't worn for a while. I have a lot more energy and can walk further and faster than I was. I can definitely tell that my stomach has reduced in size, but I still have a very long way to go!

justrecognisedmyneighbouronhere · 27/07/2024 23:27

Where do people purchase it from as I can't get it on nhs.

@NewoIkkin that’s amazing in just 4 weeks, I ulbs off!! You must be so chuffed!

its fascinating that MJ trains us to eat the way we should be eating - I’ve been trying to reduce sugar and carbs and it’s hard! Same with portion sizes but if MJ is the things that makes all that happen then bring it on!

Start weight 20st bang on

Did three weeks on 2.5mg

Had my 3rd 5mg today (so today was my 5th weigh in)

I'm 3lb off a 2 stone loss in five weeks!!

Obviously my start weight was huge which accounts for the big loss so far.

I was greedy and jumped up to 5mg a week early (I would NOT recommend this) I've had flu like side effects on 5mg so far which I may have avoided if I'd moved up like I was supposed to!

As long as you notice and feel the difference that’s the main thing. Hope it continues to work for you x

I’m looking forward to more energy as well as feeling and looking better. DH and I went for a walk today to get milk from the shop - took a long way through the park and got in 3000 steps - would normally have taken the car to nip to the shop so it’s making those kind of changes in our life too ans not just expecting MJ to do all the work for us!

@justrecognisedmyneighbouronhere i got mine from
VOY - saw lots of people recommending it as they also offer coaching in thr price. Lots of codes in the threads to get discounts off your first purchase- happy to send you mine if you want to use it which I think gives us both a discount.

are you getting any support with it to help manage dosages etc? Wish you lots more success and good health on your journey x

. 1st June. SW 15st 6
• 8 weeks in CW 13st 11
• 4 weeks of 2.5 4 weeks of 5
• no particular diet. I won't deny myself a meal out every now and then. I still have a takeaway every Friday. Can't remember the last time I snacked on biscuits, crisps or chocolate. Unbelievable.
• try and run 3 times a week for 30 mins and do 2 Zumba classes a week. (I'm doing this to get into the habit not necessarily to lose weight)
• enjoy the feeling of being satisfied. I never have anything sweet anymore as just don't want it. Even when others at home are. I stalled one week and I didn't let it get to me. This is a long term thing. I don't have an end date yet. I'm taking it each day at a time. I haven't told anyone except my partner. I don't need the judgement. I'm doing this for me. I snack on protein and always keep chicken and pepperami and babybel in the fridge. I don't force breakfast. Never really been one to want it so haven't started now. Usually meat in the day and then a smaller portion home cooked meal. Unless it's Friday night. I've started taking more care of my appearance. I have my nails done, I am religious with my skincare and always put jewellery on now. Never used to. I look so much more polished but I'm finding that confidence. I still have a long way to go but to see what I eat and how I eat you would never know I'm on mj. It's truly been life changing. I really hope it continues. Just enjoy the feeling of being free to eat like a person with normal eating habits eats. I absolutely love not feeling starving all the time. I never knew people could feel like this. I am not taking it for granted. I'm just so over the moon. It's definitely worth a try. I had tried everything. This is the only thing that's been the tool to help me. I cannot believe how much food controlled my everything.
