Hi all

been reading threads and trying to take it all in!

Orderd MJ through VOYwhich arrived yesterday and is 2.5mg
I’ll be starting in a few days when I’m off antibiotics

I have been so inspired by people have shared their stats and even photos - some amazing transformations! And lots of readers help me have ask the same questions of the OP as we all want to know the same kind of thing so thought it would be great to see who is happy to share the stats of their journey so far?

  • Start weight and Start Date
  • Current weight and how many weeks/months it took from start date
  • Dosage stats - what mg and when you changed doses
  • any specific diet followed
  • what exercise, if any, are you doing
  • Any top tips or advice you’d like to share about your journey so far

Would be great to see lots of real life current stats here so we can see in one place how it’s working for real users - Thank you so much to anyone who contributes!

@MooFroo the dosages are really easy to follow and I've support from my husband and adult children in the house but I had been away for the weekend which would usually result in me binging and then giving up on any diet so I panicked and took the higher dose which was stupid as I really stuck to healthy eating when away.

It's just such a strange feeling once you start the injections if you have years of distorted eating and yo-yo dieting to unpick.

As well as eating much less I'm actually craving lean meats and fruit/veg when I do eat. I've hardly touched a carb since I started.

. 1st June. SW 15st 6
• 8 weeks in CW 13st 11
• 4 weeks of 2.5 4 weeks of 5
• no particular diet. I won't deny myself a meal out every now and then. I still have a takeaway every Friday. Can't remember the last time I snacked on biscuits, crisps or chocolate. Unbelievable.
• try and run 3 times a week for 30 mins and do 2 Zumba classes a week. (I'm doing this to get into the habit not necessarily to lose weight)
• enjoy the feeling of being satisfied. I never have anything sweet anymore as just don't want it. Even when others at home are. I stalled one week and I didn't let it get to me. This is a long term thing. I don't have an end date yet. I'm taking it each day at a time. I haven't told anyone except my partner. I don't need the judgement. I'm doing this for me. I snack on protein and always keep chicken and pepperami and babybel in the fridge. I don't force breakfast. Never really been one to want it so haven't started now. Usually meat in the day and then a smaller portion home cooked meal. Unless it's Friday night. I've started taking more care of my appearance. I have my nails done, I am religious with my skincare and always put jewellery on now. Never used to. I look so much more polished but I'm finding that confidence. I still have a long way to go but to see what I eat and how I eat you would never know I'm on mj. It's truly been life changing. I really hope it continues. Just enjoy the feeling of being free to eat like a person with normal eating habits eats. I absolutely love not feeling starving all the time. I never knew people could feel like this. I am not taking it for granted. I'm just so over the moon. It's definitely worth a try. I had tried everything. This is the only thing that's been the tool to help me. I cannot believe how much food controlled my everything.

@Newme24 well done - almost 2 stone off in 2 months! Love that you don’t want any biscuits or choccies - they are definitely my danger foods!

Lovely to hear the real impact MJ has had on you and your life overall- think that’s the real win, it’s not just about losing weight - it is genuinely changing your life for the better.

So happy to hear how well it’s working for you and hope it only fetes better x

• Start weight and Start Date - SW 18st 6lbs, 29th May 2024
• Current weight and how many weeks/months it took from start date - CW 16st 9lbs
• Dosage stats - what mg and when you changed doses 5 weeks of 2.5mg, 1 week of 3.75 and 3 weeks of 5mg.
• any specific diet followed - no special diet but protein intake increased. No snacking, and no breakfast. And smaller meals.
• what exercise, if any, are you doing - none so far, aiming to start swimming when I'm brave enough to be seen in a swimming costume again.

EvenLess · 28/07/2024 17:38

SW- 16st 8lbs on 1 March 24
CW- 13st 6lbs on 28 July 24
Started as a size 22, now 18 (16 on a good day!)

Taking Wegovy, currently on 1.0. I was on 1.7 for 3 weeks but the nausea was terrible so I think I need to build up slower.

I've found the food element tough as I often don't feel like eating, so cooking is a challenge. I'm hoping that will improve as I've had to give up my job and go back to being a SAHM so will have more time to think about it! The reduction in food noise has been life-changing though. I don't think I realised how unhappy I had been, for a very long time.

I walk lots as I don't drive and am hoping to build up exercise but currently suffering a bit with an old foot injury.

FilthyforFirth · 28/07/2024 18:14

SW: 16st3lbs
CW: 14st13lbs
Time: 5 weeks (due my 2nd dose of month 2 tomorrow)
Dose: 2.5mg

I lost 17lbs in the first 4 weeks and only 1lb last week but I've read it can plateau for a bit I think?

I do crossfit 3 times a week (have done since Jan) and I am training for a half marathon so also running 2/3 times a week.

I'd like the pace to pick up as I have 6 stone to lose, but overall happy with progress so far.

April88 · 28/07/2024 18:44

Start weight : 15 stone 2
Start date: 27th Feb
Current weight: 11 stone 3 - been on it nearly 22 weeks.
I am currently on 12.5mg, went up a week ago. I’m nearly at goal weight (10 stone 10), so I’ll finish this pen then go back down them slowly.

No specific diet followed, just healthier eating and less snacking.

Exercise wise I play netball for roughly an hour twice a week.

No top tips really, I’ve had no side effects luckily! It’s just completely got rid of the food noise for me and I feel full much quicker. I’m not planning on coming off it too quickly, and may see if I can stay on a low maintenance dose (5mg) for a while.

@EvenLess 3 stone and 3 dress sizes in 4 months if life changing! Hope you’re feeling amazing 👏🏼

im looking forward to the not thinking about food. Just went to the shop for bread and automatically went to pick up a large pack of crisps - talked myself into putting it back in prep for starting mounjaro in a few days! So much mindless eating over the years

Thank you! I lost around 1.5 stone before starting so I’m just over 5.5 stone down and the aim is 6 stone.

Nervous! I really don’t want to pile it all back on. The pharmacy I use will prescribe for 2 years so I’m going to come down a dose at a time and then stay on 5mg for as long as I need.
