Are there click counting charts for Mounjaro?

I’ve taken a break and am switching from Wegovy to Mounjaro. Hoping that can break and change of meds will ease the side effects that made me give up. I was counting clicks to get more out of Wegovy pens, but I can’t find click charts for Mounjaro.

Hey just joined tonight I'm looking for clicking charts for the mounjaro- I accidentally got a 5 mg instead of a 2.5 and been told not to use it, I don't want to waste my money and was wondering if you ladies can help?

@Katycotopolo have a look on any of the 'continuing Mounjaro' threads numbered 19 or below and there's a chart at the top but basically, you need to take half which is 30 clicks rather than going all the way out to the 1. If you are stringing it out, it will be 0.3ml for 2.5mg

The maths is really easy, don't need a chart

dose you want/pen strength x 60

2.5/5 x 60 = 30 clicks (or 0.3ml)
3.75/5 x 60 = 45 clicks (or 0.45ml)
7.5/5 x 60 = 90 clicks (or 0.9ml)

I did my 2.5 and then 15 clicks (from 2.5 pen ) did i take a 3mg dose? Ive had good results but dont want to go up too fast

Hi, if I use less clicks to give a smaller dose , can I re-use the same pen needle? It presumably needs to be cleaned / sterilised?

Not really. Each needle is single use. You can buy a box of 100 for less than £10

Help! I'm confused by the 'clicks' to dose. I want to start by giving myself a half dose . I've watched the instruction video but can't see how to click ? You press down the dose selector until it stops , and count to 5. How does this = 60 clicks ?

Why are you thinking of half a dose? The 2.5 is low enough already.

You wind the end of the pen out so that the window has the number 1 in it. Winding to that point is 60 clicks. To take half a dose, wind the end of the pen out 30 clicks then insert the needle and push down on the plunger.

Because I'm a wuss. Am nervous of the side effects and I also want to see how much suppression I get with an initial half dose. In general I tend to be very sensitive to medication . I've done a fair amount of reading around and some people respond well to microdosing.

i have had a break from manjaro and have a 12.5 pen as was up to this dose prior to stopping and pen has stopped clicking but it still half full but want to use the stuff in the pen so drawing off the pen how much would 2.5 in mls be from the 12.5 pen

It's only 12 clicks or a tiny 0.12ml.

Too small a qty to measure accurately. I would speak to your provider about perhaps restarting on 5mg. Or save the 12.5mg pen until later.

i just thought rather than get another pen i would use what i had if i used an insulin syringes which is units how many units would it be

It would be just 12 units in a 100u syringe. If you used syringes each time you could also lose 3-7 units each injection in the syringe dead space unless you were using a low dead space syringe. That might be up to 1/3 of the medication.

It went really well. I actually started off really really low on my first dose - think it was about .85 . Can’t recall how many clicks it was. Then I then did 1.00 the next week, then 1.25 etc. See how you body feels. I had some appetite suppression from the very first dose but it took a few weeks before I lost any significant weight.

I don’t want to be a pita but you’re really not supposed to use them like that. I asked curate about it when I was having issues on 15mg and wanted to drop back to 12.5 and they said no I’d have to get another pen. I thought it was just for £££ but I tried clicking for 12.5 and I had the same gastro issues I was having on 15mg. Once I bought an actual 12.5mg pen I was fine. I don’t think it’s as simple as counting the clicks because of the potency of the liquid
