This thread is a fantastic reminder of the need for one thread only for codes... seriously do you not all get embarrassed acting like walking billboards for your prescribers?

It's the one aspect of WLI that is just really unsavoury.

Agree!! It's like a bloody pyramid scheme for drugs. I wouldn't order from medexpress for this reason.

And it's always from posters who have clearly joined mumsnet purely to spam threads with their codes.

I have tried Saxenda, Ozempic and MJ.
Saxenda was awful, I had ridiculously bad diarrhea and the stomach cramps were genuinely like contractions. I nearly had an accident a few times, it was terrifying to feel like I had no control over my bowels.

I was then on Ozempic for about 7 months. I had no side-effects at all and did lose a considerable amount of weight; about 20kg. I was about a size 22. Got down to a 16 or so. I did have to be really careful about counting calories as still felt hungry. But it certainly took the edge off and made dieting easier by far.

I then didn't get round to sending in the photos, and needed to do this to keep getting it sent to me. I thought I would be able to manage without Ozempic and it was nice to have a bit more extra cash... but my weight crept up again as I had not retrained myself in terms of how I ate and I just went back to binge-eating. Went up to a size 18-20.

I started MJ about 9 weeks ago. It has totally transformed my diet as I have lost my sweet tooth. I am adhd and have always craved sugar. I'd eat bags of haribo in one sitting, chocolate bars, honey in my tea, and unable to resist biscuits and cookies etc. I have had to have several teeth pulled due to being so addicted to sweet stuff 😳
Since about going to the MJ 5mg my sweet tooth has completely vanished. It is crazy. I cannot remember a day I didn't eat something sweet till now (ALWAYS had pudding, etc.). I now actively dislike sweet stuff. I've gone down to a comfortable size 16 but can fit into size 14 skirts / dresses if I try. They are still a bit too tight so I suppose I am a 15 at present. I get seasonal affective disorder but this year I didn't. Didn't even notice till someone else on here mentioned it!!
I really like MJ. I do get headaches when the dose goes up and I have to remind myself to drink fluids as I don't feel thirsty at all. Keep leaving mugs of tea half-drunk which is unlike me.
I am craving salty and umami flavours but if I eat a normal size portion of food I feel full (sometimes too full and a bit nauseas if I eat too fast and have seconds). I am eating kimchi like it's going out of fashion. I never used to be able to eat hot / spicy food at all, it felt like it was hurting me. Now I can tolerate it.
I am having quite vivid dreams but don't know if this is because I am sleeping better overall?
The worst side effect is the constipation which I do have to manage by eating lots of fibre. If I forget, then my constipation is very bad.
Overall I am very happy on the MJ but I do worry about how I will manage which I get to my ideal weight. When my dose got delayed I noticed my sweet tooth was coming back. Hopefully after a few more months I will have kicked my sugar / sweet addiction.

I had 2 stone to loose and have been using a micro dose of mounjaro for 6 week. Got 2.5 pen, but didn’t like the side effects, dizziness, heart rate speeded up, couldn’t sleep and felt generally unwell. I have used a half dose (15 clicks) It works just as effectively and I have no side effects. No food noise or desire to snack. I could eat big meals if I let myself, but I've found it enables me to stick to a balanced 1500 cal diet very easily, which I have never managed before. Loosing weight gradully and hopefully redecuating my eating habits at the same time. I am also weight lifting to maintain muscle mass too. Have dropped a dress size already.
