Wedding dress honest thoughts

Hi I need some honest opinions about this dress I chose. I went wedding dress shopping for the first time on the weekend and I only tried on 6-7 dresses. I think I got swept up in the moment and said yes to the dress too quickly. I wasn't expecting to buy my dress that day. Since coming home I'm unsure if I made the right decision what are your honest thoughts about this dress?

A little extra advice please - for the veil would you have a lace trim at the back (the skirt is sparkly tulle all over) or would you have a plain/pearl veil?
Thank you! Any opinions and thoughts would be so helpful 🩷

Some is obviously personal taste and subjective, but I think it's absolutely stunning- I particularly like the arms. Personally I'd go for quite a plain veil as not to detract from the rest.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 04/11/2024 19:41

No advice on the veil sorry, I had a civil wedding so didn't have one, but that dress honestly is beautiful. It really suits you and I'd say its perfect. I hope you have a wonderful wedding and a really happy marriage.

Stunning.
Plain veil for me.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 04/11/2024 19:43

My dd's friend had one very similar. She had the "sleeves" adjusted to shoulder straps.
Plain veil iirc. Looked lovely with her long dark hair.

Stormyweatheroutthere · 04/11/2024 19:43

Plain veil.. Enough sparkle on there!! Beautiful dress op...

Seacatt · 04/11/2024 19:45

I think your dress is beautiful!

I would go plain for the veil.

thistimelastweek · 04/11/2024 19:46

Gorgeous dress.
I think plain veil..

USaYwHatNow · 04/11/2024 19:47

I think it's stunning, looks great on your figure! Would go for the lace veil, as it sits nicely with the train and still doesn't look too busy

Flidina · 04/11/2024 19:48

Gorgeous dress, love it! I'd go for a plain veil.

Painauraison · 04/11/2024 19:48

Wow! That really suits you and is very timeless classic, I don't think you'll look back and regret having a latest fashion look!
I'd go for a plain veil too 😀

Jeezitneverends · 04/11/2024 19:49

What a beautiful dress! It looks fab on you..I’d go plain veil too

BookishType · 04/11/2024 19:49

Plain veil, definitely.

I’m not a fan of strapless as I think it’s quite unforgiving, sorry.

IchiNiSanShiGo · 04/11/2024 19:50

It looks gorgeous on you, and it’s a beautiful dress. I wouldn’t wear a veil with it but then I’m not a fan of veils.

If you’re really not sure about it though, can you talk to the boutique and see if they’d be willing to let you exchange it if they e not already placed the order? The dress is such a big part of how you feel on the day, you want it to be right.

I bought mine on the first day I went dress shopping - I put it on, and couldn’t stop swishing in it. And my boobs looked amazing 😂

Have fun with the rest of the wedding plans! 👰🏻💍💒

I think it’s really lovely and you look great on it.

However, you should love your wedding dress so, in your shoes, I’d keep looking until you find one you do love.

InTheRainOnATrain · 04/11/2024 19:51

Great dress. Plain veil for sure.

OliviaRodrighost · 04/11/2024 19:52

Gorgeous! Lovely ethereal quality to the whole thing. Plain veil would set it off beautifully.

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 04/11/2024 19:53

My friend had that dress in ivory she went for lace bottomed veil that matched the lace in dress it was stunning with hair and makeup all done xx

SkalengeckOrSiegbarste · 04/11/2024 19:57

That is beautiful. It suits you so well. I'm very jealous!

I think you look fantastic (plain veil BTW). HOWEVER, I agree with @GoodyBag you should know/love your dress.
Six weeks away from my wedding, I had to get the whole thing re-modelled because I just couldn't see myself in it. I needed to feel that I was wearing the dress rather than the dress was wearing me - if you see what I mean?

AlwaysGinPlease · 04/11/2024 20:00

Absolutely gorgeous dress! Agree, plain veil. You'll look incredible!

sprigatito · 04/11/2024 20:02

Is that photo of you in the dress? It looks absolutely stunning. Perfect for your figure and especially gorgeous from behind. Wow!

AnotherEmma · 04/11/2024 20:03

It's beautiful but if you're not sure, you should keep looking. Could you tell the shop you've changed your mind or you'd like more time to decide for sure? Did you pay a deposit or pay the whole price?

Westofeasttoday · 04/11/2024 20:04

I don’t think anyone can tell you about style as it’s your dress. Having said that you look lovely and it a beautiful dress.

Its normal to only try on a handful of dresses and as a serious watcher of say yes to the dress the trouble often comes when a bride has tried on too many dresses and now doesn’t know what she wants (or wants to spend more than her budget but that’s another issue 😂).

If it’s bothering you go and try on a little bit more and see how you feel. You will immediately compare them as not good enough or think hmmmm I might want something else.

Your feelings are normal. They are a lot of money and it’s a big day. Either way I’m sure you’ll look beautiful. Good luck.

PermanentTemporary · 04/11/2024 20:04

Oh it's absolutely beautiful.

I would go back and try on some more because you don't feel sure, but honestly you look wonderful. Congratulations💐

Entertainmentcentral · 04/11/2024 20:06

I only tried on four dresses. It's such a mission getting in and out of them.

I can't imagine a more flattering, elegant dress.
