Elopement - would you be our witnesses?

Hi, we are getting married in December just the two of us and hoping 2 people wouldn't mind being our witnesses? It's in London on a Monday.. x

hell yes! Which registry? (& what outfit do you require?)
my witnesses were picked up in a jacuzzi the day before (married abroad) and they were perfect.

I'm to far away but have wonderful memories of a lady knocking on my hotel room door in Scotland in the 90's ,asking if we would be her witnesses tomorrow if we were not busy.
It was a wonderful day.

Whoops that sent before I finished, we didn't want the big wedding and didn't want to upset anybody by choosing certain people, so we are hoping a couple of people wouldn't mind - and I of course would be happy to do it for anyone else😊 . I don't mind on outfits and thank you for replying so far

@metalanddust I'm not going to say I wasn't stressed about trying to find something suitable in a case load of walking gear
But it honestly was an amazing day and I send a card every year.

I literally just got married an month ago with just two witnesses for this exact reason. Happy to be a witness

I did it for a lovely couple when the lady posted on here asking for witnesses not too far from me.
It was a Fantastic little ceremony and I even took my DC
Im nowhere near London but I would love to do it again

I had 2 Mumsnet witnesses at my wedding. They were lovely and I'm so glad they were part of my day. I just wished I'd got a picture of all of us.
