Monday weddings

Thoughts on a Monday wedding. Either from the brides view or a guest.

Background: fallen in love with a venue for our reception and the difference between a Monday and Friday is £3000.

It would give me an excellent excuse not to go and I hope more relatives of ours adopt this.

Be prepared for a small rsvp and no atmosphere on the day.

Well most venues are cheaper on a Monday-Thursday but there's a very good reason for that. People generally don't want to go to weddings on work nights, or book annual leave to attend weddings. So unless you're having a very small wedding or don't really mind who attends, I would go for a weekend.

We booked it. Friday at 3pm. I think the day guests will be fine with this and evening guests won't be coming till 7pm so they don't have to use annual leave if they do not want to. Thanks every one
