It wasn’t my size as it’s made to measure but this was just an idea. Opinions welcome. Please ignore visible bra, I just had my old, worn work underwear on!

A mid-waist sparkly belt is very 2012 and will quickly date that dress

Luckingfovely · 06/11/2019 12:50

I think the first one is very frumpy. The second one is dull, dull, dull. The third one with the ruffles is stunning and dramatic and unusual. The fourth one is trashy.

towers14 · 06/11/2019 12:52

Definitely the second, was thinking that even before the price update but that would nail it for me.

NigellaAwesome · 06/11/2019 12:56

I love the first. Also like the middle one in the other photos - the one with the multi-layered skirt.

Irisloulou · 06/11/2019 12:57

NUMber two.

I know a few people that have spent thousand and regretted it after.

Number 1 is wrong, it looks like a T-shirt.

Start a thread asking who regretted spending 2k on a dress.

ShortHairSuitsYou · 06/11/2019 12:57

The third one without the sparkly belt. You have a lovely figure and great arms!! No need to be body conscious! Enjoy your day ☺️

LilouBlue · 06/11/2019 12:58

The second would look even lovelier with a simple ribbon sash instead of the sparkly belt, I think.

LittleMissNaice · 06/11/2019 12:59

You've left a name on one of your photos OP

theemmadilemma · 06/11/2019 12:59

I like the multi layered, but I think the 1st flatters you most even though it's not fitted. I think its the way the pattern continues past the waist, it elongates your body in a good way.

ButterflyBitch · 06/11/2019 13:00

Second one looks much nicer though first is ok. Last two are a no from me. But really it’s all about what you want and like.

Paraballa · 06/11/2019 13:01

I spent 3k on my dress and did not regret it.
But if I were you I'd get the second dress and get a bridal seamstress (not the shop) to alter the top to a Meah like the first dress, though I agree with others the t-shirt style is frumpy so choose a different sleeve. It won't cost anywhere near the difference in dress price to get it altered so you'll save money.

Talkthirty2me · 06/11/2019 17:19

Thanks all. That’s kind of why I wanted opinions as I really love the first - but is it really £1,500 nicer than a cheaper dress?
I think the belt was attached to the 2nd dress it wasn’t added. The belt on the fluffy dress was added though.
I might go for a style like the 3rd one maybe with a fitted top but a ballgown style bottom, and I suppose the skirt style is unusual.
Fitted dresses look stunning on people I’ve seen then I try them on and they just don’t seem to have that sparkle for me as I just hate my hips they’re really square.
I have got time I suppose so that’s one thing.
I might do another thread asking if people regretted paying a lot.
Oh damn it I’ve left my friends name on, how do I alter it? Blush

You have an amazing figureEnvy

Chewbecca · 06/11/2019 17:25

I liked the second one best, and now I have seen the prices, it is a no brainer. You look amazing in dress 2 (1st one of the 3 pics)

MountainPeakGeek · 06/11/2019 17:28

I like the third one the most.

jokerreturns · 06/11/2019 17:28

I like the fullness of the skirt on no1 but also no2 is very pretty. Not so keen on no3

jokerreturns · 06/11/2019 17:29

And a no to no4 for me, I don't like the neckline

Talkthirty2me · 06/11/2019 17:33

@MrsPellegrinoPetrichor Thank you Flowers I think it’s just when you get hung up on something (for me my hips) it’s all you can see even if other people can’t it that makes sense!
I didn’t like 4 either, as soon as I tried it on I was not a fan but my bridesmaids loved it.
I might go back to the shop I tried 2 on as it’s closing down so all dresses range from £90-250.
The one I tried the first on they were all made to measure, they were stunning dresses and the price obviously includes the alterations but the cheapest was £1,500 Shock

If that's you in the dresses you do not need to be body conscious! You look great!!

Newbie1981 · 06/11/2019 17:40

My fave is the second by the way

georgialondon · 06/11/2019 17:44

I think 2 and 3 are miles better. They look great

TwattingDog · 06/11/2019 17:51

I love dress 2. The shape is fabulous for you.
I think dress 1 is unflattering and drags your body shape down the way.

Talkthirty2me · 06/11/2019 17:51

These are a few others (I’ve tried a LOT on)
First is another £1,600 one, second I think was £599 and third was another expensive one which I really liked but got no full length photos.

I really think the second is nicest and the price ! The first is lovely but considering the price and maybe when right side might not look as nice as the second one does on you
