This is the finished ‘look’ with the veil and tiara etc.. too much?

Definitely better without the veil and tiara but I still prefer the dress in its original form. There's far too much fuss on the dress and it doesn't work well. Sorry OP.

Lovely figure though!

ThisIsTheThirdTime · 13/10/2019 13:17

Honestly OP, it isn't a dress where I would think "fecking hell what was she thinking!" As you walked down the aisle! I'd think "wow! She looks beautiful!".

The dress is not my style but it doesn't matter because YOU look beautiful in it. At £1000 please please don't doubt yourself. People can be critical on here but I highly doubt anybody would think your dress is awful on your wedding day!

Honestly, it's beautiful and you will look beautiful. I prefer it without the veil Smile

BeTheHokeyMan · 13/10/2019 13:23

Its a beautiful dress you look amazing in it and I know you will be a knockout on your wedding day Flowers definitely lose the weight and tiara though

BeTheHokeyMan · 13/10/2019 13:24

Veil not weight omg stupid phone

marshmallowkittycat · 13/10/2019 13:32

I like it, including the layers on the skirt. The important thing is that it's your dream dress, whenever you ask lots of people you're going to get a whole spectrum of answers. That said, if I was wearing that dress I'd do so without the veil, the detail on the bodice is enough.

kissmewherethesundontshine · 13/10/2019 13:40

I really like the whole look and think you look beautiful, if you aren't sure keep looking but if you love it and feel good but someone else has said they don't like, ignore them!

RumpoleoftheBaileys · 13/10/2019 13:41

I actually really like it with the veil! I’m usually not into them (didn’t have one myself) but if you like it, do it.

I also think that is a beautiful dress. Wedding dresses are so personal to each bride that there is always going to be differing views. (Look at the recent royal brides!)

Congratulations on your engagement and good luck for the big day!

seven201 · 13/10/2019 13:44

I think you look fabulous. I think a veil works against all that's going on in the dress. Either just the tiara or a beautiful sparkly hair comb type clip thing is needed.

Chapellass · 13/10/2019 13:49

I think if you are going to have a veil, it's needs to pack as much of a punch and be as dramatic as the dress. This veil is too apologetic - so either a tiara and a beautiful formal up do - or a more significant veil that fits better with the style of the skirt at the back

Chapellass · 13/10/2019 13:50

Btw the dress looks lovely

Rachelover60 · 13/10/2019 13:57

I don't like the skirt and, overall, think the dress is too ornate. I imagine the lace on the chest would be itchy. The top part does fit beautifully though.

totallyradllama · 13/10/2019 13:58

Yes! 100% better without the veil! You look stunning in it now

Lulu1919 · 13/10/2019 14:05

Top lovely not so sure on the skirt but you do look beautiful xxx

daniellelaurak · 13/10/2019 14:07

I agree with the comments that the two halves don't go well. Although I love the bottom and think it needs a simpler top half.

thinkfast · 13/10/2019 15:40

The dress without the veil is stunning. You look absolutely amazing. Love it

Cookit · 13/10/2019 16:14

So much nicer than the more fitted dress you also showed. Without veil and tiara is better I think, agree with all the others.

ilovepixie · 13/10/2019 16:42

Love the upper half. Not so keen on the bottom.

Schwesterherz · 13/10/2019 17:51

I like it. When else do you get to go the whole hog. I think the bodice could be fitted a bit tighter and think it would look better with sleeves, but otherwise it is pretty and suits you.

mathanxiety · 13/10/2019 18:17

Having seen the catalogue photos and the photo of you in the dress pre-lace, I really think adding the extra lace on top was a mistake. Is there any way you could get it taken off?

The dress as a design made much more sense without the added lace on top.

It's far nicer on you than the fitted style even so.

mathanxiety · 13/10/2019 18:19

Agree with Chapellass about the veil. You need a bigger one that flows right down your back. And to balance the very lacy top (if you can't get the extra lace taken off) you need the tiara.

Lilytheblue · 13/10/2019 18:23

I think you look beautiful OP! Flowers

Chavatheart · 13/10/2019 21:18

Thank you all again x

It looks a lot better on the model than on the actual bride.

Chavatheart · 13/10/2019 22:37

@mathanxiety Do you think it looks more classy and ‘put together’ than mine though? x
