Does this dress suit me? Pic attached

I already have a thread running about small weddings and big dresses and have attached the picture there, but just wanted to get more of a general idea.

I am assured that it looks much better in the flesh and I bloody hope so, because I don't think it looks very nice in the picture at all! I absolutely fell in love with it in the shop. There were tears, gasps, the works! Maybe it's the angle Hmm

I have shown the picture to my DD and she says it doesn't suit me. In the shop, I thought I looked much more in and out curvy and not so up and down.

Biggest issue is, I've bought it Confused and it was in the sale, so I'm not sure I can get a refund or exchange.

Thoughts please. Feeling a bit deflated after my initial rush.

Aridane, yes, I did say it was similar to mine, which hopefully translated to, 'so don't get that one', but I didn't want to be too open about just how similar it is. She knows it's not what I originally thought I'd get, but that's it. I suspect she knows it's a fish tail.

Tie, yes, this is my plan. My sister is my maid of honour and I've suggested it might be a good idea she goes along to her appointment too. What if her absolute favourite dress is the most similar though?! I mean, at least I know she can't get the exact same one, as mine has been discontinued.... for some reason Hmm

Apparently I wouldn't be able to exchange it anyway. Is that normal? The Belicia was £1500 and this was twice reduced, at £400, so they'd be silly not to potentially take a bigger commission, no? I'm sure it's a wobble though. I'll see on Friday.

Its a lovely shape and looks great with your skin tone and hair colour. Have you thought about hair styles yet? Up, down, half up half down?

Thanks, Toy. Definitely not having an up do. Either down completely with soft waves and some decoration, or half up, but very loosely.

I'm not usually a fan of mermaid dresses, but that really suits you- makes you look curvy but still slim, and in a natural way. I agree with hair down, as well.
