Does this dress suit me? Pic attached

I already have a thread running about small weddings and big dresses and have attached the picture there, but just wanted to get more of a general idea.

I am assured that it looks much better in the flesh and I bloody hope so, because I don't think it looks very nice in the picture at all! I absolutely fell in love with it in the shop. There were tears, gasps, the works! Maybe it's the angle Hmm

I have shown the picture to my DD and she says it doesn't suit me. In the shop, I thought I looked much more in and out curvy and not so up and down.

Biggest issue is, I've bought it Confused and it was in the sale, so I'm not sure I can get a refund or exchange.

Thoughts please. Feeling a bit deflated after my initial rush.

TIA

Aridane, yes, I did say it was similar to mine, which hopefully translated to, 'so don't get that one', but I didn't want to be too open about just how similar it is. She knows it's not what I originally thought I'd get, but that's it. I suspect she knows it's a fish tail.

Tie, yes, this is my plan. My sister is my maid of honour and I've suggested it might be a good idea she goes along to her appointment too. What if her absolute favourite dress is the most similar though?! I mean, at least I know she can't get the exact same one, as mine has been discontinued.... for some reason Hmm

Lovely dress that’s looks amazing on you

Apparently I wouldn't be able to exchange it anyway. Is that normal? The Belicia was £1500 and this was twice reduced, at £400, so they'd be silly not to potentially take a bigger commission, no? I'm sure it's a wobble though. I'll see on Friday.

Its a lovely shape and looks great with your skin tone and hair colour. Have you thought about hair styles yet? Up, down, half up half down?

Tequilaitmakesmestupid · 15/02/2018 16:51

Thanks, Toy. Definitely not having an up do. Either down completely with soft waves and some decoration, or half up, but very loosely.

I'm not usually a fan of mermaid dresses, but that really suits you- makes you look curvy but still slim, and in a natural way. I agree with hair down, as well.
