There are no weather warnings I can see on my app, all looks a bit warmer and a bit wetter. All the trains cancelled though.
is it really to be that bad? And why isn’t it on the weather apps, I’m sure it usually is.

North East coast and it snowed about 3/4 inches earlier, replaced by rain now which at least is clearing the snow, the wind is quite strong and has been for a few hours, so driving rain now, even the spaniel was not impressed to be out for a walk and turned round pretty quickly, although she does have ridiculous ears that slap her round the face in high winds so I don't blame her really. She sat in the car and watched me scrape the snow off ready for work soon and didn't want to get out, then made a direct dash for the front door while eyeing me with disgust.
She's the barometer in this house, if she doesn't want to be out in it then you know it's awful 🤣

Does anyone know much about this Saturdays weather, I'm seeing reports of a possible storm?
We are due to be out but I don't fancy it in wind and rain!

Weather warnings already in place from tonight until Sunday, mostly Scotland tonight and England and Wales from tomorrow. Gusts of upto 60mph expected inland and heavy rain in some parts. Check your local weather app

Here’s hoping Sunday sports matches are cancelled!

My daughter is involved in a (outdoor) Xmas fair on Saturday which I was going to go to support her. I'm not sure it will go ahead, or whether I want to drive an hour and a half to get there but she'll be so gutted if it's cancelled

OrangesCinammonIvy · 05/12/2024 07:12

We are supposed to be going to Xmas work do a good hour away, I'm not comfortable with it

socks1107 · 05/12/2024 08:11

Going out doesn't bother me it's more the trees that seem to fall on our railway everytime it's windy and getting stuck in London.
Will keep an eye and maybe a tree will come down in the morning meaning decision made early!

72mph wind are forecast by me. We’re meant to be going to see wicked tomorrow evening but I’m not sure I want to drive in winds that fast.

Frozensnow · 05/12/2024 12:33

Sorry I meant Saturday evening. Wind warning has changed to amber now

socks1107 · 05/12/2024 14:53

I'm going to see wicked tmrw night too! Tbh I'll probably be on standby to collect my husband from his works party in case of train cancellations too
