I hope it doesn't. I like the sunshine, but that kind of heat is awful, it totally drains you. If you're too cold then you can adjust the heating or wear warmer clothes, but if you're too hot there's not much you can do that effectively cools you down.

It's a pity they can't send some of the heat over here - say reduce the temperatures there by 10 degrees and increase ours by 10 degrees. We have had as low as 13 degrees and torrential rain today. I got so wet that I had to buy new socks.

Well almost precisely a year ago we had the hottest temp recorded.
40 degrees. I was at Heathrow that day.

Bloody hope not. It's forecast 49 degrees in some places. That's deadly heat, not glorious sunshine.

It's not just a heatwave though is it.
It damages crops, roads, railways, wildlife and puts vulnerable people at risk.
I love the heat (last years heat didn't bother me) but intense heat is not a good thing.

It a absolutely scary, and tbh it really boggles my mind any posters that are hoping for it.

I read somewhere that we are expecting a heatwave in August. But I will preface it on saying u think it was a headline in something like the express so didn't want to fall for the clickbait when let's face it its probably a pile of shite.
