Heatwave: when will it end?

I'm near Bristol. I hate the heat and am dreading the next few days. When can I realistically expect a cool down?

I'm also in the South West and the next few days are looking toasty 🥵

On 3 day, 14 hours and 32mins.. Smile.. August is usually crap. The sun is lovely.

According to my phone app the weather is going to continue to be boiling, bastardy, sweaty, stifling, humid horror until next Thursday, but we must "make the most of it"

I like sun, I like all seasons but I bloody hate humidity and intense heat, predicted to be 36 tomorrow 😩

Barely any summer temperature yet, and forecast to be under a week anyway... 🙄no reason to be so dramatic. Enjoy the garden and the outdoor, avoiding the hours between 11am and 4 pm. Not so hard.

Erm, 6 days?

My plan is to enjoy wearing some summer clothes for a bit and loiter on the patio. If I don’t like the heat I’ll wear my underwear and lie on the bed with a fan pointed at me. Either way, could you see it as time for a rest?

Hoping not for long, it got pretty unpleasant this afternoon and forecast hotter for the next few days. I will be mostly staying indoors.

Where are you all that it's going to be mega hot?

I don't think I could cope with the 30s

I'm looking forward to some sunshine and warmth.
I've been on holiday this week, varying between cool cloud cover and rain. As @a12345b says - stay out of it if you don't like it.

Cornwall is damp & foggy.

I got rained on at lunchtime and then it went to 30 something this afternoon. Looks like a week of HOT predicted.

There's thunderstorms forecast from Monday.

Looks like its going to be too hot to spend any time outdoors here even in the shade, but annoying to have to spend the whole weekend indoors.

It’s high 20s over the next few days. Not looking forward to it apart from getting loads of washing done.

easily do You Think people in counties that actually have a summer dont leave the house for months? As long u avoid the middle of the day u can still go out, especially late afternoon and evening can be so pleasant. I cant wait!

Oh dear this sometimes happens in summer hot weather Could you not stay indoors I do if it is really hot close curtains and blinds, close windows. I know!! But if you really want to be cool it works.

When will it start? We're in the north west and the weather has been awful. I'm usually a fan of rain and cold but I'm really missing sunny days

Still waiting for summer here.We last had heat at the end of June.
It was warm today,and drizzling.We are forecast 2 days if sunny intervals(cloudy)then rain/thunder for 3 days.
It has been a crap,wet summer in the Midlands.

Nasty hot stinking weather. I hate summer so much especially the last few summers it's been unbearable in the south East. How anyone can like these extreme temperatures I do not know.
