Not exactly flaming June so far.

Lots of water to come out of the sky. Yesterday proved to be very dramatic in parts of south Wales and the SW. Let's hope that it's not quite so dramatic for the east. Though it does need the rain.

windy here. lots of twiggy/fresh growth on the ground. flower heads blown off, rose bush blown over.

YesQueen · 11/06/2019 14:34

The cat keeps looking out the window and doing HmmAngryHmm face at me
He would be complaining if it was hot as well. Or too windy. Or too sunny Grin

Whatthefoxgoingon · 11/06/2019 14:37

All my lupins have fallen over in the rain. There’s 12cm depth of water in the bucket I left outside yesterday morning!

BlackeyedGruesome · 11/06/2019 17:07

I don't like it, make it stop...

Titsywoo · 11/06/2019 17:26

Woah it's torrential here (just outside of Croydon) and has been for about 40 mins or so. Much heavier than yesterday.

Bluerussian · 11/06/2019 19:17

It was fine for most of the day but for at least an hour has been raining and thundering. Quite warm though.

Titsywoo · 11/06/2019 19:19

Our local supemarket has just shut due to flooding. It's awful here. Met Office was showing sun all day so very unexpected!

nannynick · 11/06/2019 19:50

Titsywoo - Rain Radar shows a really bad bit in your area at around 16:50 today. So guess that is the torrential rain you had. Looking at the radar info, looks like rainfall in a small part was more than 32mm per hour.

Tomorrow sees the potential for some more downpours and perhaps some thunderstorms again.

Whereabouts OYBBK? Met office doesn't seem to be right most of the time this week so I can't go off that!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/06/2019 08:15

The Met office have their warning areas as being central and the eastern side from roughly Peterborough and upwards. However, I think there is a risk for the SE, the south Midlands and southern coastal counties away from the SW to see some heavy rain and thunderstorms break out too as you can see from the chart I've posted.

I am terrified of thunder
Hope it doesn't happen when I have to collect my dd from nursery

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/06/2019 13:06

Ah feck 😅

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/06/2019 13:23

It’s very humid today after yesterday’s coolness. I’m not in either of the warning areas but the clouds seem so full I can’t see that we won’t get something before 6pm (when the met office says our heavy rain will start).

OYBBK hosting a huge party -outside- to celebrate end of exams in south suffolk on Saturday the forecasts keep changing any chance that it might be dry??????

Perihelion · 12/06/2019 16:33

Amber warning for rain from midnight for SE Scotland, including Edinburgh.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/06/2019 16:57

Bit risky thekingfisher You might be lucky with the timing with heavy rain just clearing through in time.

I'm going to be away for a few days from tomorrow with little access to the internet. Please do keep an eye on the forecasts.

And can I just put a Shock Shock Shock for the output from the latest GFS model. I really hope it is a sign it has gone crackers, because I've never seen a chart like this before for tomorrow.
