Yes really!

Could be some embedded thunderstorms in it.

My geraniums are mightily pissed off. Balcony only gets a bit or morning sun at the best of times.

OYBBK, I love a bit of weather, and I often learn stuff on your threads that's useful for my work, so thanks! ⛈

elQuintoConyo · 07/06/2019 09:43

Oh dear... It's sunny here in northern Spain, sorry for sending you Miguel Blush

Emmabryant123 · 07/06/2019 09:43

On the edge of the warning zone here
Been raining all morning
Thunder at 4pm according to met office
We shall see 😁
First day my dd has spent indoors all day this year and shes all ready climbing the walls ...

Batsypatsy · 07/06/2019 09:47

Raining steadily here in South Wales.

Tensixtysix · 07/06/2019 09:47

The forecasts are all over the place. I'm in the Cotswolds and it has it as nice weather this pm??

Tensixtysix · 07/06/2019 09:49

And why are there no weather warnings? Not a single one.

MrSlant · 07/06/2019 09:49

Will it all be gone by tomorrow afternoon? My older sons are going off on holiday from Cardiff and I'm already a nervous ninny about them on an aeroplane together, thunderstorms would be the icing on the cake!

PeoniesarePink · 07/06/2019 09:50

We're in Gloucestershire and my DD is supposed to be seeing Olly Murs tonight at Kingsholm.... she's not impressed after forking out a fortune on a last minute ticket. It's hammering down in Cheltenham at the moment.................

PestoSnowissimos · 07/06/2019 09:51

Raining cats & dogs here on the South Coast near Brighton. My poor bikini is looking very bedraggled and lonely (fortunately) out on the washing line 😬

EdithWeston · 07/06/2019 09:53

There's a Yellow weather warning in place for rain over much of southern England and a snippet of Wales from 14:00 - 23:00 today

According to the met office app, that's the only one

BurntSausage · 07/06/2019 09:58

*@OhYouBadBadKitten

(one day we will get the weather section more prominent on mn. The weather affects us all, but no one knows we are here)*

I just wanted to say I really appreciate your posts Kitten. I don’t post much on here but I regular check the weather section for yours and Glorias updates, particularly if I’m going somewhere. Like today - I was checking mumsnet weather before making weekend plans when I saw this Grin

EdithWeston · 07/06/2019 09:58

Spoke too soon! East Midlands has just updated yellow warning to include thunderstorms from 14:00

Tryingtogetitright · 07/06/2019 10:02

I'd never seen the weather board but I will look for it now!

Steady rain here just north of Portsmouth.

IamEarthymama · 07/06/2019 10:19

I agree with a pp who said there has been a definite Autumnal feel to the weather in the last week. Someone said it felt like the end of September, when the light changes.
Decidedly odd.

Kitten, I too always check MN Weather before planning anything outdoors, you and Gloria are much appreciated xx

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/06/2019 14:18

Thank you :) I wish I had more time like to forecast in the 'olden days' but alas, paid work takes precedent nowadays! It's why I'm extra grateful that Gloria and I can do a double act.

Some big gaps developing on the radar. If it has dried out where you are after steady rain, there is still the possibility of some torrential downpours to come.

oooh, I see that we've changed to a thunderstorm warning.
I like thunderstorms Grin

We’ve had some good rumbles already!

The rain is taking the mickey today, my village has had no water since 11am.

nannynick · 07/06/2019 14:40

Drying out on Surrey/Hants border... I may risk going for a short walk whilst being prepared for a thunderstorm.

SquirmOfEels · 07/06/2019 16:46

Despite the yellow warning coming into force at 14:00, my bit of London dried up about then and is currently sunny. Looks as if that might all change at 8-ish (>90% chance heavy rain, but thunder/lightning icon has vanished)

Apolloanddaphne · 07/06/2019 16:48

It has been a glorious day here on the east coast of Scotland!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 07/06/2019 16:54

Deluge all day in the Peak District. Some thunder last night. Not feeling very Summery!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/06/2019 16:57

The rain was thundering down this morning on the M5 towards Exeter, but coming back it was dry. Settled down to a steady drizzle now. Probably should have brought the garden seat cushion in.Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/06/2019 17:15

So far the heavy stuff has missed me, I'm up to 9.6mm today, which is useful rather than an issue.

ExpletiveDelighted · 07/06/2019 17:17

Well, it did dry out on the Surrey / Hants border but raining steadily again for the last half hour or so.

AdoraBell · 07/06/2019 17:21

We’ve had heavy rain overnight and most of today, SW. DH is further west, Brixham, and said the rain was horizontal yesterday.
