Will the heat end quickly?

I dislike the heat and see most of next week is forecast to be in the high 20s, and possibly higher. Really uncomfortable. Can anyone advise when the south west/Bristol area will feel more comfortable? Thanks.

And about time too. We haven't had any summer yet where I live. You heat haters get your favourite type of weather for most of the year. It's our turn now.

So rare to get decent heat in UK - you heat haters will have all the long winter moths - us heat lovers have abut a few fleeting weeks.

sorry, I'm with magi. I adore the heat too and we don't get enough of it. It doesn't feel warm until it's past 25. mind you, I used to sunbathe when I was pregnant so I'm probably wired up wrong.

Please let us cold blooded folk warm our bones up for a bit this summer Smile . you've got the other 11 months.

It does look like the temps may be especially high for early July but the extreme heat (low 30s) will probably only last 2-3 days I think.

Many parts of central scotland may see temps into the mid 20s.

The interesting thing, not being bought out in the forecasts is that it also looks very windy - 35mph gusts possible, with pretty low humdity I think.

We are forecasted to reach a maximum of 26 degrees, which is perfect for me Smile. However, it is for one day only and it goes downhill after that Sad

depending on where you are cheesy I'm not convinced by your app! certainly rather lower than that in most of the uk.

at the moment i'm running at 73% on a pretty accurate weather station.

oh ffs, we get fuck all summer year after year and months and months of cold. Can you not even cope with a few weeks of sunshine? Its hardly tropical. Get a fan

Some people simply can't function in the heat me

I'm ok as long as it doesn't get humid and it usually always does in the UK.

I dislike the heat too OP, anything over 20 degrees is too hot for me.

I have had moles removed and avoid the sun, have asthma and hay fever and have horses to look after/ride. We like cycling and canoeing and being active in our leisure time - all nicer at cooler temps.

And, yes, we have plans to move back to North Yorkshire/Lake District as soon as work allows it and we are holidaying in Scotland Smile which is as much as we can do right now.

As it is we were up at 5am, DH riding his bike and me off to the horses, working at home all day before coming to life again after 5pm when I will go for a bike ride.

It's not humid - anyone who thinks this needs to go to a really humid country.

It's so rare in this country and I cannot wait. For those that struggle with the heat just by a cheapo fan off Amazon, sit down, put it in front of you and chill!

I can't wait for this glorious week that is forecast, just looking at recipes for delicious light salads and grilled meats accompanied by a chilled Sancerre or a Pimms. What's not to like?!

You should expect exactly that by the second week. At first, it is interesting to wear warmer clothes and cute jackets. But once they have worn their entire limited wardrobe of such, residents of warm places are as fed up as OP is with the heat. And if they are in a desert area during the winter 'rainy' season, there are no end of complaints about it.
