Slow moving heavy showers this week

Just a heads up, especially for those that have been lulled into a sense of summer. After today there looks to be lots of heavy slow moving showers likely. Some of them could be come quite thundery/haily by nature. I think tht wednesday/thursday look like the peak wet days and I wouldnt be surprised to seem some localised high rainfall values pretty much anywhere but perhaps with a focus on the NW and east Wales/west England.

Oh poo. Just bought myself flipflops. I dont want to crack my boots back out!

I heard on TV today that the sunny hot weather is to stay until the weekend in southern parts.
My cold house has now come into its own - lovely and cool indoors and too hot out for me already. With front and back doors open I have a cold draught.
Will sort out some more clothes/boots for the charity pick up on Wednesday.

22C here (Leicester) at the moment. 'Tis quite warm with a nice breeze.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people then Digerd. Weather basically goes back to how it was last week before the hot weather but perhaps with some heavy down pours mid week.

little rain warning for strathclyde

Just now the TV has said tomorrow will be cooler and wetter. Actually it is usual to have rain when the roses are blooming but had expected/hoped for another week at least.
It was gorgeous today with a refreshing breeze.

Raining here since mid afternoon. Shame cos it was a lovely morning.

Huge differences in temps between the met office forecast and the radio 4 one this morning (6 or so degrees in some places). If the radio 4 ones are correct then I'd expect some cracking storms today.

We woke up this morning to one of those skies that looks like a thunder storm might be on its way and sure enough, an hour later, the sky had darkened and we'd got a thundery shower but with only one rumble of thunder. It's fascinating to see but it looks like our lone lightning strike is showing up on my links, just to the west of Leicester!

On the way back from school it tried to rain - big drops but not enough to wet the ground.

It does feel "thundery".

Rained a bit in the night but today is bright and sunny, also fresh air and not sultry/humid.

we had a shower go through this morning before 7 am. seems a bit freshernow. there is ahumdinger of a storm over the Ukraine at the moment on Gloria's link. and one in the bristol channel. seems I am not going to getmuch work done today.

Rain warnings for the SW for thursday here

MIL says they always give wrong forecasts for thus weekend. If they said it will be sunny then the motorways block, if they say rain then nobody goes anywhere to spend money. Hmm I'm not sure.
Prefer my son's plan. Read all the forecasts until you find one you like.

We had no rain after the few drops this morning.

It has alternated between overcast and sunny all day, though not quite as warm as yesterday.

It has just started raining here now, heavy but refreshing!

Had a thundery shower yesterday evening but apart from our lone rumble of thunder yesterday morning, that's been it when it comes to thunderstorms so far this week.

So far its been rather dry here! extended heavy rain warning area for tomorrow with lots of potential for thunderstorms.

Dry here too today. Cloudier and a little cooler but still 20 degrees out atm. We could do with more rain,< in the night> but no more stormy winds please. Hundreds of more rose buds to open yet on my climbing rose arches.
