DH has grand plans for later involving sledges and photos, I just want to stay in the warm after a week of battling to pre school and back!

About 6" here in co Durham, accumulated over the past week, still snowing though!

There was hope of mancunian snow in the forecast I looked at this morning, looked again just now and it's all gone! Just cloud as far as the forecasters can see. Kitten, please say it'll snow here soon, and we're not on some snow-forsaken island here!

InMySpareTime it does feel like we have been abandoned by the snow fairy, doesn't it?

Stupid question time: how do you check local travel advice? We're supposed to be driving into London today.

No more snow yet, but tesco delivery came and took little dog outside and she was fine except kept shivering. So went in < I'd had enough> and small snow clumps were everywhere from her paws/short legs indoors. Wonder if I need to buy her some tiny doggy snow boots to keep her paws warm? Never had that problem with any of my previous small dogs in minus 15 abroad.

OYBBK can I ask you a question? What do you make of the likelihood of more snow in the SE tomorrow afternoon (Sunday)? Is it at all likely to extend as far west as N Oxon/Warwickshire? If so, I need to make some contingency plans....

We're mid surrey and I'm wondering the same as fatsatsuma?! The met office have heavy snow on kent border, but wondering if it will drift a bit....dc hoping it will! We have light snow forecast all day tomorrow.

We've had a kind of not quite snow but really tiny balls of ice almost like mini hail? It looked like rain but was solid. Is that graupel??
Anyway cold here, zero apparently but felt like less.
Just cancelled a trip to North London tonight as really don't fancy an hours drive on icy roads my friend is v disappointed.

Any chance of a forecast for North Lincolnshire over the next day or two? Met office is saying not much and yr.no is saying snow all afternoon tomorrow

Cheshire. We had 3-4 inches yesterday, schools closed etc. Keeps trying to snow today but not very successfully thank goodness! Ice on top of the snow more a problem today. Dd2 informs me we will get more tomorrow but I feel this is wishful thinking of a monday off school

Snow still lying from yesterday in E17; it carried on snowing overnight but right now it's very fine graupel; I can see from the radar that all the real action is up north over eastern Scotland, though there's some light precipitation going on between Liverpool & Sheffield from the looks of things, and a nice big splodge over the Yorkshire area. Down in the SE we're forecast to get some steady snow throughout Sunday, but I'm thinking it will be fairly light but stead - not quite what we had in places yesterday. It'll probably blanket the east from about 6am tomorrow onwards, though I think up towards the Midlands will see some action later in the morning. Monday is when we'll see much heavier widespread falls, though the SW will be somewhat left out at first until late Tuesday, early Wednesday maybe.

Seems to be warming up a bit next week. East Kent has rain forecast for Tuesday and 3 degrees, practically balmy!

We decided not to go away this weekend as I think we're set to get some of this eastern/midlands snow tomorrow.

It is actually snowing now very lightly.

Still got half a foot here from yday but no more has fallen today - south east btw.

I'm kent to and we had a very light dusting yesterday but that's it, I'm supposed to be babysitting tonight in Maidstone and would be handy to know if I should ask the parents to be back earlish if its going to snow as I need to get home the other side of medway and am already dreading driving home in the early hours of the morning

Annoyed with sheffield. Silly tiny snow..everywhere is just sludgy and horrible now-I want big snow
