If you want to write about anything AA, do so and I can put it up.

Maybe the bounty thing? As you've been the one researching it.
I can add extra writers as well, so you could put it straight on, by you, and I can edit all the html for links etc.

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 13:41

Coolio. I'll get something written up bout my suspicions then, with info from their website. Have found that some NHS trusts are refusing to have Bounty packs given out in hospitals too.

Should I email it to you? Don't have CAT.

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 13:42

Ah can post it straight up then?

Will see what I can do.

If you email me at fan-fkn-tastic @ hotmail .co.uk I'll give you the log in info and you can write it straight up.
Any links just put in brackets and I'll insert them.

VictorianSqualor · 03/10/2008 22:17

Aww, they're getting bored

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 22:18

I have to repost this in chat

BountyHunter · 03/10/2008 22:36

Snatch? Why is that censored??? Am I missing something??

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 22:42

It can mean fanjo

I want to know what else they censor but they have no 'preview' button so I can't without risking posting lots of random rudeness.

OP posts:
BountyHunter · 03/10/2008 22:49

BountyHunter · 03/10/2008 22:51

Oooooh, go with the random rudeness!! Ok, how do I rid my computer of all this random filth that has just popped up on my screen? I know what a fecking snatch is now, thanks VS!

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 22:52

AA - just post lots of random rudeness (actually apparently in order to do that, all you have to do is post the weaning guidelines as, you know, the guidelines are so unsupportive and very rude and mean to all those mummies who are just following their instincts )

It's taken me ages in 5 minute breaks here and there throughout the day, to follow this discussion and actually I am in shock. Some of those babies are so young and it really is almost like it's seen as a competition, that someone will come and pat you on the back for weaning as early as you can. I always thought of early weaning as 4 months, possibly 3 months, not 5 weeks (and didn't someone say 2 weeks?)

But I really think VS (I think it was?) made a very good point about the double standards in terms of early weaning - 'oh that's fine, you follow your instincts, it's only guidelines etc' and sleeping on back - 'very important you put your baby to sleep on its back, studies show that this reduces cot death etc'. So why the hell are scientific studies valid to dissuade people from putting babies to sleep on their tummies but not valid to dissuade from early weaning?

Part of me would have been tempted to play devil's advocate and reply that I wanted to follow my instincts and put my baby to sleep on its tummy because we all slept on our tummies and we're fine, plus I know what's best for my baby and that the back to sleep guidelines are just guidelines - just out of curiosity to see the reaction. But then I couldn't be arsed signing up to the site, and it could backfire through someone reading the post and taking that as a green light to do the same (because anecdotal evidence is apparently more to be believed than scientific research).

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH indeed.

UpSinceCrapOClock · 03/10/2008 23:05

x-post - really am a slow typer!

Olessaty · 03/10/2008 23:06

Snatch is a rude word on Bounty.

You never used to be able to say carseat or weightwatchers either.

Rimming is banned.

Bitch too.

And if you talk about Terry Wogan, you'll be censored too.

I've gotten quite imaginative really, you can get complacent when you can say all the common curses. Bounty encourages creative insulting.

Hiya btw. I have to say I've learned a lot the past couple of days, even though I was waiting until six months, now I really know why I should.

AnarchyAunt · 03/10/2008 23:14

Hi! Are you a Bounty convert?

PMSL at their censoring What about snigger and swanky?

OP posts:
Ewe · 03/10/2008 23:15

"Well I started my LO on solids at 9 weeks" FARKING HELL

VictorianSqualor · 03/10/2008 23:18

Ewe, the earliest did it at 2 weeks

Ewe · 03/10/2008 23:20

What??!!?!? How can people be so uninformed?! 2 weeks... I can't even imagine

As an aside, the whole "bub" thing is very irritating albeit the least of the problems with that god awful site.

Olessaty · 03/10/2008 23:21

Yes, both censored.

I'm looking around and enjoying the atmosphere, just deciding whether I'll fit in or not.

VictorianSqualor · 03/10/2008 23:25

You can spell, string a sentence together and don't agree with forcefeeding babies.
Yep, seems you'll fit in ok.
Now, about nestle.....
