I just bought an ikea highchair two days ago.

I have also developed a great pushchair design based on the same kind of shape.

However I have no idea how to patent it so it will be thought of by someone else no doubt while I sit here eating beans on toast for the next 3 years.

I thought it was horrible until I caught Aitch's comment about the mini-Bond villain. Now, I just keep imagining DD sat there, waving toast with one hand, stroking her cuddly cat with the other, and looking menacingly at DS sat opposite to her. Maybe I'll just do a cut & paste and get it out of my system....

They do make some fab stuff - wish it was around when my DD was a baby - at least then we would have had some cool furniture.. (baby stuff far cheaper than full size furniture)

babies are not designer they are messy little bundles wrapped up in fluffiness and unrelenting cuteness.

I was about to make a trip through the snow to Ikea - and was throroughly excited about purchasing THE high chair - feel a bit delfated now -I want an egg chair!!!!

but then to me highchairs are a necesarry evil - the only saving grace of ours is that it folds up and i can hide it in the cupboard if I have folks round.

but how would you keep it clean?!

i think you just have to be so rich that you buy a new one when it gets dirty. no bother.
