Yeah bog off to babycentre lol!

Mum2FunkyDude · 09/04/2007 09:35

Thanks Cod,

it's kind of like a hamster in a wheel thing going on, funny now that ds is 16 months old and weaning is not an issue anymore and I don't give a rats ass what other people do to their children, they'll all end up feeding their children McD one day anyway. Will they ever learn that there is no rule book or wrong and right in the issue.

When you find them noddy can you let me know?

MassiveBoobs · 10/04/2007 10:08

I think it's really difficult if you are weaning at 20wks (with medical advice) and you come on for advice and end up feeling guilty and rubbish. I know 6 people with babies around 6-7 mths who all weaned at 20 odd weeks. Maybe it was wrong but clearly most people do it. Maybe we should have two sections...

tiktok · 10/04/2007 11:01

But if you weaned on medical advice, presumably in contact with people who know you and your baby, why would reading stuff written by strangers on a talkboard make you feel 'guilty' and 'rubbish'? I can see why you might feel irritated, or feel you disagree, or feel these strangers on the talkboard are not understanding the individual picture as it applies to you....but 'guilty' and 'rubbish'?

I don't get it, sorry.

Maybe when people say 'guilty' they actually mean 'irritated' - could that be it?

gess · 10/04/2007 11:03

pmsl cod.

Debbsyandson · 10/04/2007 11:24

cod dont get you at all its like you deliberately like winding people up.

margoandjerry · 10/04/2007 11:26

yup, irritated would be the word. I do wonder why the hell people get so wound up about the way other people bring up their children that they feel the need to start a shouty thread about it.

I'm going to start one entitled:

"God, what's up with all you fools? If you are not playing your child Mozart thrice daily and feeding them nothing but home grown heritage crop organic vegetables picked by virgins then you are ABUSING YOUR BABY"

and then see what happens...

Nemo2007 · 10/04/2007 11:27

cod thought us fishy folk were supposed to stick together..pleaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee dont send me to babycentre as I already spend tooo much time with babies
