Pretty obvious from my username that The Witcher 3 is up there but my top console game is Red Dead Redemption 2. It was more like playing a movie than a game. The storyline and the ending Sad

Assassins Creed odyssey played as Kassandra too. Fab to see a really good female protagonist and the game play was great.

What's your favourite and why?

I too love both Red Dead Redemption games. And Assassin's Creed (I'm working my way through the older ones at the moment).

This'll get me evils from some on here but I really like Grand Theft Auto V. It's 100% not for kids but it is brilliant satire, as well as being really absorbing gameplay. I also think V was deliberately designed to satirise the kind of people who think GTA games are a moral panic.

I enjoyed The Last of Us too.

And the Gran Turismo or Forza Horizon series for a bit of mindless zooming round tracks.

RedDeadRoach · 22/11/2021 12:52

Ah yeah i enjoyed GTA V too. It's easy enough to steer away from the unsavoury bits and just drive around and do missions if you want to. Great gameplay.

Ooh difficult question!

The ones I return to again and again are SWTOR and Dragon Age. But I've got a soft spot for Grim Fandango and Portal too. And I suspect I'll be returning to Assasins Creed Odyssey and Cyberpunk too.

MedusasBadHairDay · 22/11/2021 13:22

Forgot to mention The Longest Journey, which is the game that got me into gaming!

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 22/11/2021 13:29

EvE before it was ruined.

Soubriquet · 22/11/2021 13:31

I’m probably gonna look stupid saying this, but the Sims Blush

I’ve recently got the cat and dog expansion pack for the sims 4. Still prefer sims 3 though

depremesnil · 22/11/2021 13:33

Ocarina of time will always be the GOAT for me.

BigHeartyTruffle · 22/11/2021 13:35

You may not be surprised to hear this based on my user name, but I just cannot get enough of breath of the wild

Mightywease · 22/11/2021 13:38

Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. I could easily live in the Wastelands!!

Assassins Creed series, I'm still get a shiver thinking about Ezio getting out of the bath.

Skyrim dominated my like for a bit as did Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio and GTAV

Love the Ratchet and Clank games but Crash Bandicoot is my little, orange, marsupial hero!

Yutes · 22/11/2021 13:39

The Last of Us, Fahrenheit, Fallout:New Vegas!

Currently playing Assassins Creed:Valhalla

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 22/11/2021 13:39

Soul Calibur.

Love the characters, love the back stories, love the scenery.

RaininSummer · 22/11/2021 13:40

Pacman I'm afraid.

FancyPuffin · 22/11/2021 13:52

Hollow Knight for me. Everything about it! The style, the story and the music are just gorgeous. I can playthrough it almost endlessly.

Hiddenmnetter · 22/11/2021 13:55

WoW. Love TBC, best xpac they ever made. Pulling my hair out with bad players in the guild ATM, really worried that Kael will live up to his guild breaker rep. We got him to 5% last week so hopefully he goes down tonight 🤞🤞

Starcaller · 22/11/2021 13:59

WoW too. I stopped raiding this expansion but I've previously played at a high level (top
100 world) in Legion and in BFA and when WoW is on its game there's nothing like it. I also met my husband there eight years ago so I'm a bit biased. Best loot I ever got Grin I've played since the very beginning and will be playing when the ship goes down.

AlbertBridge · 22/11/2021 14:02

The first 3 Spyro games, and all the Animal Crossings. I've never liked any other games.

bongsuhan · 22/11/2021 14:06

Horizon Zero Dawn :)

EventOfTheSeason · 22/11/2021 14:11

Fable 2 and Red Dead Redemption 1. I missed playing Fable 2 when we got rid of our xbox so much that I bought one second hand to play it then sold it on again.

Mumoblue · 22/11/2021 14:12

Bloodborne. I love the aesthetic, love the challenge, love what makes it different from Dark Souls (I liked the first Dark Souls, hated the second and can take or leave the third).

I also really liked Skyrim and the Dragon Age series. I played WoW for about 10 years but then left for FF14- but had to stop playing that when I had my son. When he gets a bit older I’d like to go back to FF14, if I can ever get a new graphics card.

HerRoyalWitchyness · 22/11/2021 14:15

Assassins creed. I've loved them all.

Tomb raider. I remember playing as a child when she had triangular boobs Grin

The sims. I'm obsessed with it and always have been. Creating your own story and virtual life.

Animal crossing for when I just want to play something easy going and not have to think

burnoutbabe · 22/11/2021 14:18

I am playing Witcher 3 right now but i don't love it, though on the last DLC so must have sunk 50 hours into it.

Last of us 2 was fantastic but did i enjoy it? I really didn't want to do the last part, having come down onto the non-Ellie side of things so really didn't want to pursue things anymore.

Love tomb raider style games, with missions and then seperarte collectibles/side projects to do. I did all the 4 unchartered games over last year since getting a PS4 for Last of us 2 last summer. They were brilliant.

MedusasBadHairDay · 22/11/2021 14:33

I've just started playing Animal Crossing, it's addictive but also kind of dull. I can't decide if I actually like it or not. Can't help comparing it to Stardew which makes the harvesting of items seem much more compelling.

clare8allthepies · 22/11/2021 14:49

We love gaming here. I play lots of Nintendo games with the kids like pikmin, animal crossing, Mario kart etc. Also fortnite although I’m pretty useless.

I love RPGs though, loved the dragon age games, fable series and the fallout ones too. My all time favourite is the elder scrolls online, I dread to think how many hours I have sunk into that over the past 5 years or so! Blush

RedDeadRoach · 22/11/2021 15:55

Ah i did enjoy stardew valley, lovely bit of escapism! We just got sonic mania on the ps4, that's bringing back some nostalgia. The kids are loving it too.

Also... Ecco the dolphin is one of my favourite old games (and the hardest game ever - bloody 8-arms) but why aren't there more under the sea type games?!

I love New World. This game has every aspect of what is to look forward to as a benchmark for a first game made from scratch, made on a new game engine, it is great. The graphics are smooth and gorgeous. The lore and setting are both entertaining and innovative. Game mechanics are enjoyable with only a couple of minor exceptions. There is no swimming just literally walking underwater. The jump could be a little better, but you have a phenomenal set of movements for getting over rough terrain and enough gold to buy items you need. Overall, if you like pirates, MMO's, or skill-based systems, then you can try it, too.
