Pretty obvious from my username that The Witcher 3 is up there but my top console game is Red Dead Redemption 2. It was more like playing a movie than a game. The storyline and the ending Sad

Assassins Creed odyssey played as Kassandra too. Fab to see a really good female protagonist and the game play was great.

What's your favourite and why?

Atic Atak. Really showing my age here.

NotImpossible · 26/12/2021 09:41

Can I ask for advice about where tonstart the Assassins Creed games? I tried the first one years ago and was enjoying the story but lost interest in the gameplay before O get very far. Are they best played in some sort of order or can I just jump into the recent ones? Thanks!

Jolene1990 · 05/01/2022 14:21

My favourite game ever is Majora's Mask: I played it back in 2003 and have never played anything like it,,, its a bit hard to get now but if you can play it, you won't regret it!!

CruCru · 08/02/2022 13:10

I love Assassins Creed (particularly Valhalla), Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Ghost of Tsushima. I’ve just finished Horizon Zero Dawn.

AnneTwacky · 11/02/2022 06:27

I loved Jak 2 so much, back in the day.

Dystopian city, so much angst but undercut with just the right amount of humour, wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, I was engrossed.

It hit the spot so well, when DD wanted her first console but wasn't sure which way to jump, I chose a playstation 4 just because of the good memories I had of that game.

Kgutdfn · 24/02/2022 10:02

Splatoon 2 (Nintendo switch). No game has ever and will ever come close!!!

MunchyMonsters · 24/02/2022 10:29

Zelda is my all time favourite game. Still play it now. It was so forward for its time.

Nitgel · 24/02/2022 10:38

Gex Grin

00100001 · 24/02/2022 10:40

Skyrim!

00100001 · 24/02/2022 10:42

@FancyPuffin

Hollow Knight for me. Everything about it! The style, the story and the music are just gorgeous. I can playthrough it almost endlessly.
Good game
Featuredcreature · 24/02/2022 11:10

Probably wow, I used to love Tony hawks and tomb raider, viva pinata and we liked timesplitters and unreal tournament. My ex played wow when it first came out and I did loads of eye rolling and tutting. Then I read a thread on here about a mn guild... Hmm I thought I might give it a try. That was midway through mop, I was pretty deep in the addiction fairly soon Grin luckily the changes they made in wod and legion slowly killed the magic for me. I still watch the odd stream on twitch and I absolutely love the race to world first, a good solid weeks entertainment Blush.

Fuzzy303 · 24/02/2022 11:42

Skyrim and any of the Tales of Games but especially Tales of Vesperia.

Also an absolute sucker for a Pokemon game

Pinkbonbon · 24/02/2022 11:55

Rdr2 is definately top.

My second is a bit out there but it's a spin off from harvest moon series called Animal Parade for wii. Inner girly girl talking here but- All the bachelors, bacholoeretes and kids are adorable and I love the clothes and the pretty stones you can get in the mines and make into accessories.

Third is Zelda Majoras Mask for n64. Coming out on nintendo switch tomorrow!

Joint fourth are the animal crossing and sims series. Been playing them since the start.

I also enjoyed rune factory frontier.

Amd Stardew Valley of course!

Flutterby8 · 24/02/2022 17:29

Red Dead Redemption 2.
Never played anything like it. The graphics are amazing and the plot easy to follow. I'm debating playing it again to be fair because I enjoyed it that much!

Other games from a long long time ago would be point and click games like the Monkey Island games!

Jux · 09/03/2022 17:20

Valhalla (or it might be called Ragnarok) which runs in a DOS box now, but I used to play it all the time, it was fab!

I never get very far with any games as I hate killing things and am a bloody coward online!

SingToTheSky · 09/03/2022 17:24

A PC game called Sheeep (yes, three Es if I remember right!) 😳

Futurama and Simpsons Hit and Run on PS2. Happy days playing those with DH pre kids!

Jux · 09/03/2022 17:25

I also love Kingdom of Loathing. I'll get my coat 😁

HoppyHop · 09/03/2022 17:36

Theme Park! I think I lost about 5 years of my 20's playing that game.

Disneyblueeyes · 09/03/2022 17:42

@Starcaller

WoW too. I stopped raiding this expansion but I've previously played at a high level (top 100 world) in Legion and in BFA and when WoW is on its game there's nothing like it. I also met my husband there eight years ago so I'm a bit biased. Best loot I ever got Grin I've played since the very beginning and will be playing when the ship goes down.
I was a mythic raider in Legion and BFA then my daughter came along and it became hard work trying to raid set days a week. I played casually in SL then quit last year as guild members were dropping like flies and it was too stressful pulling enough together for heroic, never mind mythic. I do miss it, but it just doesn't suit our lifestyle nowadays.

Now I'm playing Forza horizon 5 mainly, and flight simulator.

Love the Sims, cities skylines, Skyrim.

Also picked up age of empires 2 after loving it as a kid. It's still awesome!

CaptainSpirit · 09/03/2022 18:07

I absolutely loved the Life is Strange series (hence username!) and The Walking Dead series, both choice/consequence/storytelling type games. Heartbreaking moments in both series, I cried playing them with DH!

I spent my teenagehood playing loads of Harvest Moon games, they're so cute and cosy and nostalgic for me now. Smile And of course The Sims 1&2, I could get lost in that for hours.

Special shout out the Dragon Quest 5: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. Grin

TheWitchwithNoName · 09/03/2022 18:11

Icicle works (stupidly old game that ran from a tape), then Wonder boy in Monster world (still love a RPG) but my REAL love are the Tomb Raider games 😍 the older ones are far better

DoingJustFine · 26/07/2022 11:30

Spyro

BlazingRufus · 26/07/2022 11:50

I clocked the first 3 Spyros, vomited with motion sickness playing Age of Empires 2, and got a degree in AI after being inspired by Black and White... But when life gets difficult, it's Dungeon Keeper that I have vivid dreams about (I completed it at 8yrs old and was so smug given the age rating is 10+)

LimboLass · 26/07/2022 12:41
