Wanderlust it's tempting now I'm working from home on Friday but I'm normally asleep for half 9 so not much chance! Some people in the Netherlands already have the game because they've been lax in response to the virus...

I probably won’t be able to play until the afternoon sometime! I’ve ordered the AC switch and that comes with the download code so I’ll need to wait for delivery. DPD usually comes to me late afternoon 😭 I’ve told my son he can play his at midnight though as I’m dying to see it!

I’m so excited for this. My anxiety is through the roof since the weekend so this will be a godsend 🥰

So excited for this! Pre-ordered from Very and it should be delivered Friday, we're isolating (immunosuppressed ds) so silver lining - I've got loads of time to play when it arrives

Whoop whoop looking forward to tomorrow! I really want to start playing at midnight but haven't had enough sleep over the last few nights so I think I'll go the other way - early night and then kick things off when I wake up (which is always early).

DD's been looking forward to this since Nintendo announced it 2(?) years ago. She's been housebound for 4 years and has been literally counting down the days to release. She ordered the new Animal Crossing Switch too, even though she already has one, because it had Tom Nook and his nephews on it. So no automatic download at midnight tonight, and instead she has to wait for the postman tomorrow. Though we got the dispatch notification last night and it said delivery expected 20/3 or 21/3.

Oh dear, fingers crossed for tomorrow. I hope this isn't coming from Amazon; my DH ordered a new phone model which was released last Friday. Amazon managed to bungle handing the order over to DPD, so DPD didn't have it on Friday. Amazon had only paid for DPD's weekday delivery service, so by the time they got it, it had to sit in the delivery centre in Leeds all weekend before DPD delivered on Monday.

Luckily she ordered it from Nintendo. Fingers crossed it arrives early tomorrow. She's driving me mad with the endless daily speculation about when and what time it'll arrive. Her plan is to transfer across all the data from the old Switch which should keep her busy too.

My Switch came from Nintendo as well - they used Hermes for delivery (here at least). Fingers crossed!

Well my boys are super excited for tomorrow and I am looking forward to it too but what a dark shadow there is over everything. We were going to camp out in Starbucks in the afternoon so that’s out. We will still get dominos for tea though and we will be happy enough in the lounge. I’m just so bloody fed up!

I’m planning on staying off news/Mumsnet corona threads tomorrow and just try and enjoy the day best I can with my lads.

I'm so jealous, loved playing this on ds But I don't have a switch and can't justify the cost with all going on

The ds version I was obsessed with collecting the animals pictures, they would give you if u became good friends. Its probably too early but does this happen in the switch version?

I've seen a clip where an animal had its own picture on a mantelpiece so i dont think it's a big stretch to presume they can give them to players for high friendship in this game too :)

Little tip for all, you need to sleep in the cot when you get it, to progress (you'll understand when the time comes lol).

Also, wise to donate 5 insects directly to tom nook asap and pay off your home upgrade with miles. Dont wanna say too much as to why but they unlock things.
