Shiny new thread. Work means I've only walked 5.2km this week, though Fitbit says it's 11.9.

I missed the Raikou raids last month but made it out to the Entei raids today. My local raid group are very competitive and move on to the next one as soon as the raid starts, and they walk and raid. Even the medium pace group is pretty fast! But I found another group today that were moving at a much more leisurely pace. Finish a raid, revive and then move on. I got 3 Entei from 7 raids, including a shiny which I didn’t even realise at the time. So that was a fun hour.

Our raid group is like that too. The 'hard fighters' will manage 35-40 raids in the 3 hours. The middle group will do 15-20, and I always get left running the 'kindergarten group' and doing 5-7 raids, depending on if anyone has any extra passes. There's usually a few beginner adults in the kindergarten group but the Grand Prix and tennis meant that this Sunday it was just me and 11 boys aged between 6 and 12. It's chaos. Fortunately DS and I can practically duo an entei so the fact that they were using shelders didn't really matter.

And this was how I kicked off Monday morning.

What are the easiest level 3 raids to solo and any suggestions what with?! I only ever play on my own and have never managed to solo a level 3 but need it for the last special task. Am really not comfortable joining a raid group.

@tumpymummy Sharpedo is probably the easiest at the moment. You'll need machamps or hariyamas with counter and dynamic punch.
Scythers would be next and I'd pick Pokémon with double rock moves: rampardos with rock slide, rhyperior or golems with stone edge.
Alola raichu are a bit trickier. Try giratinas with double ghost moves, or double dark tyranitars.
Avoid gengars and machamps. It takes a good team of level 30+ Pokémon to defeat either if you're going in solo, especially if they're weather boosted.

You could also try an app like PokieGenie. You scan your Pokémon in, select the raid you want to do, and it picks a team and estimates your chances of winning. DS and I used to use it a lot when it was just the two of us raiding.

Thanks baroness that's really useful. I've only ever tried raichu on my own and my arse was whipped so it put me off soloing level 3s. I'm nearly level 40 so when back home around more raids will look out for sharpedo.

Yeah, raichu is a bitch. I remember the first one I did with DS. We defeated it with 2 seconds to spare and then both caught it on the last ball! We stood on the dyke dancing and hugging each other.
And of course if you haven't got a local raid group, you can't get the legendaries or teams of tyranitar. You just have to evolve stuff up. It's a bit of a catch 22 really.

I'm going to be looking to level up with several people (hopefully) on Community Day. I just need some time to work out who they are!

I've got a few Level 40 friends who send me gifts but never seem to open the gift I have sent them. I feel bad opening their gifts and not being able to reciprocate! Is this a Level 40 thing where you don't need the XP?

What time do people usually co-ordinegg at?

I am out all day Sunday but I hope to be able to put an egg, or multiple eggs on during the day if I know the timings in advance. (Just hope there is a 4G connection!)
