I typically do sausage, fried tomatoes, baked beans, some sort of bread, what else?

And I eat this sort of thing in the evening. I’m not cooking like that for breakfast!

Does smashed mean mashed or are you doing something else to it too?

Tattie scones, toast, beans, sausages, black pudding, haggis (all vegan obviously), tofu scramble, mushrooms, ketchup, avocado, tomato

Well I think I’ll make some tatie scones one day, I’ve not heard of them before.

But with vegan black pudding and haggis, my brain just says ‘nope’. And I can’t do anything about that really.

I do something very similar to a tofu scramble, but hadn’t thought of putting it in a fry up so thanks for that.

Ok I googled, it seems it is kind of mashed, but to whatever consistency you want plus a few other ingredients.

”smashed avo” is everywhere where i live (london / SE)

I’ve heard of it, and I know it costs as much as a house deposit (😁) but I’ve never eaten it. I don’t actually eat out too much to be fair.

This, except haven’t had black pudding. Potato scones are mandatory.

So I take it you don’t butter the scones? You just put them as they are on your plate?

Potato scones are more like a fried mashed potato flatbread than an English scone. They don't need anything adding on top, if you fry them in the greasy fry up pan

Fry up here is fried leftovers from Sunday dinner. A little bit crispy and with brown sauce absolutely lovely 😋

I hardly ever do fry ups but the breakfasts in our holiday hotel were fab. They included...

Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, tomatoes with thyme, mushrooms with thyme. fried bread, little sausages, hash browns, bacon. Plus baked beans on the side.

We didn't need lunch 🙂

Meat eating DH and DD now prefer vegan sausages (Richmonds mostly) and Linda McCartney.
