I want a house ON the beach with a hot tub

PLUS dog friendly

It doesn't exist Sad

I need all 3 as differing requirements. Need to see young-ish children, have hot tub for oldies plus must have dog with us.

I've literally searched every site, hoping that someone has stayed in one individual place exactly like this

Here you go. This has everything and more. It's a dog friendly beach too. Might be too big?

No hot tub but everything else here www.holidaycottages.co.uk/south-coast/sussex/seagulls

This is really right ON the beach www.holidaycottages.co.uk/south-coast/sussex/pevensey-bay-beach-retreat

At last - everything!

I've got to stop now before I book something I can't afford! Grin

"The Dunes" Mawgan Porth, North Cornwall should fit the bill..

It's a "short stroll" to the beach but there is a games area for children, allows dogs and us a hot tub.

I want a 4 bedroom house on the beach: Devon, Cornwall, Wales or IOW. I'm not bothered about dogs Grin
Some of these "600 metres from the beach" ones neglect to point out that's a long way on a small coastal path at a 1:5 incline Grin

This: www.polzeathhouse.co.uk/ is a fabulous location.

LaurieFairyCake · 28/05/2019 21:18

That Polzeath one is lovely and if it had a hot tub and allowed dogs I'd be having it

The Praa sands one is too far from the (not dog friendly) beach

I have two favourites so far:

The Chesil Beach one - I've emailed to ask if it's sandy and had a stupid email back saying 'regrettably we don't have a property named Chesil Beach House' so I sent the photo below where they CALL it Chesil Beach House. Wonder if I will get a response?

The Mawgan Porth one - I love this one but it's not on the beach, it's on the dunes (which are very wild with adders as I was there 2 years ago) and you walk down through the dunes to the main road and THEN the beach. It's so gorgeous but having a bit of free roaming kid and dog is what we're after. I always have to walk my dog on a lead on the coastal path because of adders, I'd love to be on a beach to not have to do that.

The bathing house in Howick is awesome. No hot tub but everything else is there.

Kippers at crazier are fantastic and dunstanburgh castle is spectacular.

jenthehen · 28/05/2019 22:12

LaurieFC the Mawgan Porth one is definitely in the dunes and you don’t need to cross the road to get to the beach (I’m a very regular visitor). I think you’ve been unlucky with the Adders as we’ve never seen one .

LaurieFairyCake · 28/05/2019 22:20

YOU ARE RIGHT JEN!!!

I thought it was behind the road but it's in front of it - yay!!!

And there won't be any bloody adders this far down !

I hope they email me back - it looks like it was booked forever Confused

ReganSomerset · 28/05/2019 22:28

Why a hot tub? Aren't they basically soups of other people's semen and dead skin cells?

LaurieFairyCake · 28/05/2019 22:29

Dodgy hips Grin

Weirdly the same house is called Sand Crest on oliverstravels.com Confused

Google On The Rocks Beach House Cornwall - sorry don’t know how to link but it seems to meet all your needs.

LaurieFairyCake · 28/05/2019 23:48

Someone posted that earlier Millie - it's 30 metres to the sea - down a steep cliff Grin

Sorry - thought I’d cracked it!
Is a hot tub an absolute essential? if not have a look at Seaweed Cottage Fowey.
Readymoney Cove in Fowey is well known to me and the beach is perfect for children, although it is very popular and can get busy.
The cottage takes pets but there are no dogs allowed on the beach after Easter (I think) so hot tub apart this might rule it out anyway.
Hope you find something.

PollyShelby · 29/05/2019 07:29

The cooks beach house one looks stunning.

LizziesTwin · 29/05/2019 07:43

Chesil Beach is famously stoney OP. There is a Booker Prize winning book by Ian McEwan which was turned into a film called on Chesil Beach which was very successful and they had to ban people from taking stones from the beach.

I think they might think you are taking the piss asking if it’s sandy.

fancynancyclancy · 29/05/2019 07:47

.

Teachermaths · 29/05/2019 07:54

I think your issue is beach and hot tubs don't mix for obvious sand related reasons.
