yiam, are you staying with that mad family who wanted to steal your mum again?

yeahinaminute · 17/04/2007 15:10

Yeah - you've got it IGW - found her and mum on the gin !!

Anyway - I thought you and the DS's and Dp were going to come a join us when were there for a couple of day's !!

Helennn · 17/04/2007 15:20

Ah - after the duck pond - I see! Although won't ask who owns it then, sounds interesting, .

yeahinaminute · 17/04/2007 15:24

So Helenn - if you're footling thru Prawle in June - and fancy a butchers - there we be !!

A Dico and a Mazda 6 estate on the drive

If you see a mad banshee with streeling hair clutching a bottle of gin to her bosom - that's my mum - I'm much worse

yeahinaminute · 17/04/2007 15:24

DiSco - not a DICO

IntergalacticWalrus · 17/04/2007 15:25

ooh, we's love to.

When are you there again?

yeahinaminute · 17/04/2007 15:27

9th - 30th June - have readybeds (Vertbaudet mistaken cheapies) - and the house is mahoosive !!

Expecting a few people down - so, the more the merrier !!!

Then come down mid - week !!

IntergalacticWalrus · 17/04/2007 15:59

We can't!!!! DP only gets 15 days of holiday a year. He need 11 days for when we go away on Oct, and he's taken another a sick, levaing 3 days-which we'll need for DS2s hospital appointments! tis shite

yeahinaminute · 17/04/2007 16:17

oh bollocks - leave him at home and come down with the DS's ???

RustyBear · 17/04/2007 16:35

Me at Lannacome ,helennn!
The piece of driftwood in the picture came home with us & was around for years - it has three strange raised circles on the other side & used to fascinate me for some reason.

We haven't been there for ages, because you had to get up so early to have any chance of getting a parking place & often you'd get all the way down the road & find there was no room left & have to turn round in a tiny space & go back. When the youngest of us (me!) was old enough to walk a reasonable distance we always went to Mattiscopmbe instead.
Is the access any better now?

pirategirl · 17/04/2007 17:17

ooh this sounds great, a jolly in Devon.

my littleo ne goes away the 1st of july, but i am good for anytime in june.

cool, cant believe i thought my neck of the woods was so boring, too, makes me think.

WideWebWitch · 17/04/2007 20:15

OOOh, I used to live in Dartmotuh and Kingsbridge, wonder if I know any of you? My ds used to go to Blackawton School...Cocobabe, you'll have a lovely time. Kendricks in Dartmouth was lovely with children last time I visited, unless it's changed recently.

Beauregard · 17/04/2007 20:16

Helennnn-We stayed in Chillington a few years ago and the year before last at slapton.

Helennn · 17/04/2007 20:31

WWW - no clues as to who you are on your personal profile page thingy. How old are you? I used to go to school in Kingsbridge, and my dh went to school at Blackawton Primary, then Kevics in Totnes. I am 34.

Rustybear - lovely photo! Lannacombe certainly is a special place, but the acess and parking are no better, but would be lovely in the evening or early morning. (Kate Bush has a home along the cliff so she must think so!).

Intergalactic - isn't everybody entitled to 4 weeks paid holiday now? and a day off sick shouldn't count! Doesn't sound fair to me at all!!

WideWebWitch · 17/04/2007 21:24

Hi Helennn, My dh went to Kevics too, he's from Devon and is 30. I am 40 though and we only lived in Dartmouth from 2000-2002, then Kingsbridge for a year.
