How funny - my mother taught at that school between about 1987 and 2004. English teacher.

No ideas on places to stay I'm afraid - if it was week later you could have stayed here (we're off to Cornwall).

That school seems very popular!

We are away the previous week but back for Easter. however, if your boys don't mind camp beds we could probably accommodate if you get stuck - and assuming dh doesn't think I've completely lost the plot. Let me know if you want me to start letting him know so he has time to get used to the idea. We live in Blackheath.

(I have a dd7 as well)

I think htat is above and beyond Mrs Wobble - but it would be great to meet up as dd will be with me - infact if you know of any stuff that my dd coud do then do let me know.

I assume you've looked at what's on offer at the Conservatoire. There are often "ArtAttack" style courses on at St Michael's Church Hall - not run by the church but some one else. We've never used them because they seem phenomenally expensive to me for something my children aren't that bothered about. Their ballet school sometimes runs holiday clubs but probably won't this Easter as they are all preparing for a show this summer and I suspect the teachers are looking forward to a break. There have also been cookery courses in previous holidays. We tend to find out about these things from notes home from school - if I hear of anything I can let you know.

We've tended to rely on the old favourites of playing at home and inviting friends round rather than anything organised so have v limited experience of courses. Hope you find something suitable.

Hya

yes there is nothing on at the conservatoire. We don't often do culbs, but as the boys are doing rock school I thought it might be fun for dd to do something. Howwever, I don't want any general stuff - she is a good musician and I would like her to do something along those lines - or netbasll (which she loves) or drama

Let meknow if you hear of anything

Its me, under a new name Beets.

Do you have M's number? She may well know about this (and she is coming to me at Easter, so her house may be empty, so she might even offer........)

I think what aol is thinking is that if you ring M and explain your situation and ask if she knows of anybody who you could swap with, she may suggest her own house

oh maybe I could do that -

Beety I just collared the choirmaster (he works here one day a week too) and as he hadn't got my e-mail he is now aware of the request.
He already thought of a flat in Ladywell and is willing apparently to let you have his house in conveniently located Faversham
So all may not be lost
I would not recommend the Clarendon on the Heath that's for sure. Gravy, cabbage and charabancs
If you do have to hotel it, the Express by Holiday Inn on the Greenwich Peninsula is just down the hill and the nearest OK-ish chain hotel
Hello aol

Thank you so much for this.

DS3 (the one who hates loud music) has says he does not want ot do rock school but would prefer to go to The Cutty Sark and 'that place where they have pictures' (your 10 you should know it named an Art Gallery)

So only two boys doing rock school and I can have fun with the little ones - care to join us for some of it???

Marina!
Don't put Beety through that (However if she does stay there she may have to tell me what it's like...)

Beety, am trying to think of decent hotels/B&Bs and Marina is right, can only think of the Holiday Inn Express. or maybe the Ibis in Greenwich. The Clarendon is grim, as are all the B&Bs I can think of in Greenwich (went through them all when we got married). There is an OKish small hotel called the Bardon Lodge at the Blackheath Standard.

I did think of my brother's lovely house as they often go away to their French house in the holidays, but turns out they will be there, kids booked up with umpteen holiday activities.
