no cod (!) cockney accent here believe me - I would sound like a total arse.

this

Just makes me laugh that all the money I spend on their music and they want to do rock.

The choir master would have a fit if he heard them

Beetroot I'm in Medway, North Kent, 30 mins down the A2 from Blackheath/ Lewisham (out of rush hour - longer in rush hour), and I'm away for most of the Easter holidays. It's not as convenient as being in SE London, but if the worst comes to the worst, it might suit.

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 14:22

caligua - thanks for that - can I see what else comes up? and then decide??

Caligula · 25/02/2007 14:30

Yes no probs at all. Makes no difference to me either way as I think I'll be away for the time you want, though I may be back by the Thursday or Friday.

You'd be better off in SE London, because if you need to be in Blackheath before 9.30, you do hit rush hour, but the offer's there if no-one nearer turns up.

Marina · 25/02/2007 14:33

Beety we are around, but our place is a hov and we could not possibly squeeze you in. I know who might be away over Easter though and I will give them a bell this evening.
Still a squeeze for you, but 10 mins stroll across the Heath to the Village and presumably the conservatoire?
Will also do a shout-out at our old church as they might have someone who can help.

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 16:06

Thanks Marina

Am really happy to do a swap if anyone wants a drip to Somerset

Marina · 25/02/2007 19:18

Will see what I can come up with

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 19:27

can we meet for a coffee as well?

I have my dd who is 7 to sort out - I was hopoing she might be abel to do some sort of drama or science or netball club type thing

OP posts:
Marina · 25/02/2007 20:06

Definitely the coffee. Colfes down the road might be doing one of their Easter activities thingys that she could join in, or possibly Blackheath High Juniors.
I have mailed you on your hotmail address for an idea of widening your search for a house swap.

littlemissbossy · 25/02/2007 20:22

beety is Streatham too far away?

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 20:40

thanks Marina - can't get in at present but will have a look

LMB have emiled them. Not sure how far away it is - might be a bit of a trek

School of Rock? ROFL

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 20:47

don't laugh!

Actually it is great fun. ds1 did it last year and loved it.

Marina · 25/02/2007 20:47

Beety, having seen the venue now, have you considered a shout-out for Mners in Brockley and Forest Hill?
It's my old school

Marina · 25/02/2007 20:48

I think it looks great. Far less constipated than Blackheath Conservatoire, IMHO, she can now say frankly

oliveoil · 25/02/2007 20:49

I am sorry

It looks like something from The Fast Show

Marina · 25/02/2007 20:51

As in, Let's OFF-ROAD, do you mean by any chance oo?

Beetrootccio · 25/02/2007 21:00

yes sadly not the Consevatoire - my kids well three of them have had enough of classical music and want to scream and shout.

Will try Marina - have emialed you!
