You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement. Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

You can play here if you are a member of one the following groups-

-ABBA - anti bashers and baiting association
-SWAB - school workers against bashers
-SWOT - school workers opposing teacherbashers
-STARS - schoolworkers together against ranting + slurs

Do not give the staffroom password just in case it attracts the wrong sort

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

Just occurred to me, if it's truly like March then over 70s will be advised to shield... not likely I assume?
Apparently proper shielding's back though

Mrsbrownsgargoyle · 04/01/2021 19:46

That's very optimistic, KateMAB.

Medra · 04/01/2021 19:52

Checking in from isolation. Today I feel a bit better. My department have been fab and set all my teams stuff for me as I think they’d picked up on how ill I’ve been feeling.

Monkeytennis97 · 04/01/2021 19:53

@Medra ThanksGlad to hear that you are feeling a bit better.

Saucery · 04/01/2021 19:54

That’s good, Medra. They know you’d do the same for them.

hedgehogger1 · 04/01/2021 20:04

Fucking awful day. Would be nice if SLT realised that teaching online is going to be enough work without us expecting to redesign parts of the curriculum for ofsted (with a fucking two week turnaround time)

MrsHamlet · 04/01/2021 20:04

Monkeytennis97 · 04/01/2021 20:05

OMG - BoJo has referred to vectors! I received a kicking in the spring for calling children vectors (after all that is the term used by SAGE)
