You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement. Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

You can play here if you are a member of one the following groups-

-ABBA - anti bashers and baiting association
-SWAB - school workers against bashers
-SWOT - school workers opposing teacherbashers
-STARS - schoolworkers together against ranting + slurs

Do not give the staffroom password just in case it attracts the wrong sort

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

He's a massive wanker.

I've yet to meet a trust head who isn't.

@year5teacher

I can’t believe I haven’t joined these threads until now. Thank you to *@SmileEachDay* for alerting me to them!

I wish I could stop getting drawn into these awful threads of people being so horrible. It’s so disheartening, I’m in my NQT year and I know everyone here will relate to the work-eat-sleep-repeat cycle I’ve had going on since September. It makes me so, so angry when people say the stuff they do.

Hello, @year5teacher! I've lurked and seen you posting. How's the NQT year going?
ChloeDecker · 02/01/2021 19:51

Doing your NQT year @year5teacher particular this year is incredibly difficult and hats off to you for doing so well so far. For your wellbeing, stay here with us in the Staffroom!

@SantaAssociationRepresentitve

oh darn it - another thread deleted! I was starting to enjoy a furlough thread.
I’m beginning to feel really sorry for Twinkl, poor things...

I'm the same, I feel like I'm in the starting line waiting for the gun to go off.

They look nice, MrsH. What.....are they?

year5teacher · 02/01/2021 19:54

@KatherineOfGaunt hello! It’s going well thank you, I really enjoyed last term even though it was crazy. My class are lovely!

@ChloeDecker I think I need this for my sanity! Thank you so much Smile

MrsHamlet · 02/01/2021 19:58

Choux buns with craquelin topping, filled with lemon curd creme diplomat.
The diet is not going well 😂

SmileEachDay · 02/01/2021 20:00

Thank you to @SmileEachDay for alerting me to them!

Yay! Hello lovely.

Saucery · 02/01/2021 20:02

Oh yes, I zoomed in and see where you piped in the cream, MrsH

reefedsail · 02/01/2021 20:02

MrsHamlet, is that the Cabinet a plate of half-baked brains?

starrynight19 · 02/01/2021 20:03

Grin Chloe I often wonder if Becky from twinkl is on here and how she feels about her worksheets being described this way Smile

starrynight19 · 02/01/2021 20:04

Ooh they look delicious 😋 *MrsHamlet

Not just me then.

Has MrsH over cooked yorkshire puddings for us or are they profiteroles awaiting chocolate sauce?

TheEchtMeaningofChristmas · 02/01/2021 20:07

While I'm here, how do you do the cut and paste that copies the whole of post, without the need for the bolding?

I can't cook Yorkshires to save my life!!!

Only the second ever attempt at choux so I'm quite pleased with how they've come out.

Took bloody ages though. Make the choux. Make the craquelin. Make the creme patisserie.

Eating them will be a much quicker operation😂

SaltyAF · 02/01/2021 20:09

Maybe you could borrow Ange's Rosemary Conley tape?

Welcome @year5teacher .

I love the way we all know each other so well here now, we don't pussyfoot around when someone brings some unusual baking in, but go straight for "They look weird , MrsH!" Grin

JanuaryChill · 02/01/2021 20:15

And what the heck is craquelin (sp??)

Are they actually doing stuff about teacher bashing if we report it now? I thought it was just discussion :P
WherethebejesusisGav · 02/01/2021 20:17

It is I, smiling all the days.

Cracklin’. Like Cracklin’ Rosie, but sugar based.
hedgehogger1 · 02/01/2021 20:21

I hope our planned Inset for Monday has been scrapped as I've done none of the "homework" prep for it. Won't put into words what I feel about being given holiday homework in the first place.
