I don't think she'll wait either. KC could have 10 years plus left. At that stage, Meg is mid 50s. She needs to bag a billionaire soon. Musk is single isn't he ?

Everyone talks as though Meg is in high demand, and can land any billionaire of her choosing 😬
Do you really think they’re lining up to be picked like ripe fruit?

100% agree . She is a middle aged woman with a load of baggage plus a reputation for bullying and lying . I simply cannot imagine billionaires queuing up to marry her !

I imagine it's a tough choice for M when to ditch H.

Before KC dies as he will back H in a divorce, where W may not.
Though W may throw everything at M for what she has said/done, not for H benefit.

I think the royals will have far more resources than any firm M could find, she will want it to be in the USA.
M can't afford to lose control of the Dc, they're her golden tickets, as long as they keep their titles.

I also imagine that everything H has said or done in front of M has been recorded, documented ready to be used against him.

Here's a thought. Could it be that M has agreed to move to the UK as part of her separation/divorce story: 'H was so unhappy in the USA. It was my desire to bring up our children in California and for their grandmother to be part of their lives. Family is everything. But when you have a love story like ours, you do everything to bring joy to your husband's every day. So I said "My love, those vomit green and unpleasant lands will nourish and fortify your spliff-'smashed soul. Let us go, my love".' But the reverse happened. He became even more crazed and paranoid, posting photos of our children online, revealing our whereabouts, pushing back on briefings from Buckingham Palace, refusing to believe he was nolonger Royal, refusing to believe he was a private citizen, ranting about being a public figure. It's so sad and my heart is broken. But I have to do what's right for our children as the balanced, sane parent.'

I think it's Harry

I thought it was Meghan

For the literary minded amongst us - a riff on The Wasteland by TS Eliot:

The Wace Land

September is the cruellest month, breeding
Conkers out of the dead land of exile, mixing
Memory of the palace with desire for shade,
Stirring dull roots with Autumn rain on Wace’s lawns.
Harry and Meghan, the hollow pair, using
Ian’s islands, his private acres where the sun beats
And the dead tree of monarchy gives no shelter,
The cricket of cameras no relief, and the dry stone
No sound of water—only the villa’s hush,
A heap of broken images under borrowed roofs.

Profound. Very profound.

He really should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas

In fact Prufrock also has a bald spot in the middle of his hair!

These threads are so different to the days of yore when all the sussex cheerleaders would be calling everyone haters/racist/jealous that we didn't get pinchfaced Harold.

They all gave up one by one in the face of the relentless onslaught by the grabby hypocrites Grin.

It’s tempting Providence to speak too soon but I agree. I think their rare defenders are not regular MNers but agents sent on a mission by the Squad. They have odd usernames and parrot the same hackneyed stuff but with no real conviction. One silly post and that’s it. I wonder if they’re paid?

I actually think the Army was where Harry functioned best and was probably happiest. Having dyslexia/ possible ADHD doesn't mean he's automatically a loose cannon, and having known boundaries and a strict routine can be highly reassuring for some ND individuals.
A school near us that specialises in education for boys with SEN regards the military as a good career for many of its students - not necessarily academic, but those wanting clear direction and a sense of belonging and status.

PH is now just flailing about without any sense of purpose or clear direction - exactly the worst kind of situation for someone who lacks executive function i.e. the 'blank' sheet of paper is a nightmare for them.

WhatsitWiggle · 14/09/2026 14:04

Harry was at his happiest in the Army. I wonder if part of that was the structure of it. He has no purpose now, that isn't good for anyone's mental health, let alone someone with tendencies to self-medicate with drugs and alcohol.

Yes. It’s unsavoury but it’s a fact that the sort of men who might have gone for M (those who prefer “hot” over all else) will not be looking for a near-50 year old. There’ll always be younger hotties coming up behind her with less baggage and global notoriety, as you say.

She’s not the chic, beautiful, cultured, upper class icon, Jackie Kennedy. You could probably take HER anywhere without fear of embarrassment.

Haha what a narrative! She would nail this role, as ever.

She's not trophy wife material, even though she can look sensational. Too many characteristics would be liabilities - the feminist & humanitarian rhetoric not followed up by any consistent action, the unpredictability, the clawing and directing, the self-obsession. Men looking for a trophy wife are looking for an asset.

I honestly think the way it will pan out is

  • M & H will separate then divorce
  • Kids might stay in UK. M might retain a London base.
  • RF will paper over the cracks and bring Harry back towards the family. Privately they will think 'we told you so' but they will largely pretend they think H has been wronged by M and it's all 'rather unfortunate'.
  • W will do it to prevent further damage from H to the RF ('keep your friends close and your enemies closer...)
  • They will try to pair H off with a trustworthy home counties woman who can keep him in check in return for a nice royal lifestyle.

Not a chance.

There have been two during the last few days who seem to have only a few MN posts, all defending HAM, to their names.
They've been a bit more literate (avoiding old clichés like "frothing" and "Why do you care?") although one was so long-winded and rambling I was convinced they were using ChatGPT.
I wondered if they were a bit more "official" than the NumberColourAnimal posters.

I hope so. He's so unhinged and a bit like his dm in his hates the media but desperate for attention contrary behaviour. You just can't help thinking he's such a loose cannon he's putting them all at risk. Then we'll have some awful incident that will of course all be KCs fault.

Ive no idea best way to handle them but I do think KC needs to keep his distance totally now, not even have anymore fake friendly little teas. Yes all very sad but the whole reconciliation ship has surely sailed.

Princes Anne opened a building for the environmental charity I was working for. She came in tweed skirt, jumper, practical, unfashionable suede boots and a warm coat. She was excellent and showed an absolutely genuine and deep interest in the organisation. She chatted to everyone (I have never talked so much rubbish in my life - totally and unexpectedly star-struck) and stayed ages.

The absolute antithesis of Meghan and her “Let’s make this quick” and “Where’s the camera?”

I recall reading that an official from Save the Children once said that Anne was probably one of the best informed people he's ever met in relation to SCF and heaven help anyone who doesn't know their job 100%!

I'm a bit nostalgic for the desperately parroted 'but Prince Andrew!!!!' posts or even 'fergies written a book too'. 10/10 for persistence but a 0/10 for relevance Grin

I don't think they will necessarily ever trust him again, but this will be the best way to manage him. They will find some spurious role for him, big it up and surround him with people to make sure he doesn't f*ck things up.
He will believe he is popular and relevant again.

No they won't. He will have no role.

IdaGlossop · 14/09/2026 14:35

Since the UK return, the lurid tales about M's pre-H life has really ramped up. It could be a coincidence, or it could be that time limitations on NDAs have ended, or that NDAs should be protecting them but people just don't care zny more.

The whole situation must be such a worry for KCIII, torn between his roles as Head of State and father. There isn't a solution as H in his rage has no barriers and is prepared to brief anything.
