It just shows security is not about security at all - it is about status.

If they cared at all about security they wouldn't be putting out films of the family outing like the one we've just seen.

God knows. I definitely think H is addicted to courtroom drama

Perhaps he enjoys paying the costs when he loses? It looks as though the indemnity insurance for the Daily Mail case - £16.2m - coughed up £9.54m for the Mail's interim costs. That leaves £6.66m (the number of the beast) to cover the remaining amount of about £25m.

Let's do the sum: so that would be £18.34m divided by Harry + 6 others. £2.62m a head. "Dad! Dad!"

I hope you're right. I know AB is a socialist and may well be a republican in sympathy but I just hope that he realises that the UK and the world has far more to contend with at the moment in terms of instability and volatility, and that overturning our constitution isn't either a high priority OR a good idea.

I'm not sure about AB's sympathies. However, he's the HoG so will be bound to act. It's about the role of the HoS which cannot be undermined.

Yes, that is my point. If they really were worried about security they would be much more careful about filming their location or publicising where they will be in advance. It isn’t about security - it is about the status that having security suggests you have.

I truly hope they are not endangering their DC with this nonsense.

As I said before, they will stop at nothing. I do hope I'm wrong but I think both H & M are very typical Narc parents. Them and ONLY them matter

Yup. Precisely this.

I truly hope they are not endangering their DC with this nonsense.

Well, they are. They're deliberately revealing where they're staying and where at least Harry will be, weeks in advance. No one in their right mind would do this. But it's become abundantly clear over the past six years that Harry isn't in his right mind. He's obsessed with forcing RAVEC to provide him with the security he's convinced he needs and he won't quit until he's got it.

I think this move back to the UK is at least in part to force this issue. While he was living in CA it wasn't a priority - he was only in this country for a few days a year - but by moving his family here he's forcing a review of their security arrangements and he's convinced that he'll get his way. And maybe he's right? I reckon if there is some serious security breach (which he is clearly hoping and praying for), then he'll probably get his wish.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 10:06

They said their children were jumping up and down with excitement at seeing their Grandfather in July. H well on his way to another estrangement. How do they square this with the hamlets? It must be so confusing

Like Robbie Bloody Williams 🙄

Robbie was also diagnosed with Autism recently but I don’t know if it’s an additional diagnosis or one instead of the original.

And I have to say that as someone who is NT but very much lives in a ND world because of family I didn’t realise how the symptoms of ADHD and Autism overlap until I was trying to work out a grandchild.

It's about motorcycle outriders, flashing blue lights police escorts. Barriers to hold back the crowds. We're here. The public figures. The royals those internationally protected people (not) HRH (in abeyance). By the way did we forget we said we want privacy.

Yes they're endangering everyone in their family. It's crazy as if they want some kind of incident to force the security issue.

No one would have known about Wace if they hadn't posted revealing location pics.

Harry is so full of rage, bitterness and resentment that he's just taking risks. This whole weird circus will escalate until hopefully they flounce again.

SaltyTea · Yesterday 10:18

I wonder if the pushback has come out of the Ravec 'negotiations'. As H&M have private security, perhaps there has been a suggestion has been made that additional public security should only be provided if / when H is on public engagements, following the pattern of previous visits. This may be why the focus from the Sussexes up to now has been on school runs. The clarification by the Lord Chamberlain's statement should mean that a strict interpretation will be placed on public engagements which (if carried through) will clip their pretentions quite effectively.

I admit to feeling slightly sorry for them. I know, I know. They’ve created this state of affairs themselves. But… they’ve been so spectacularly wrong for just about everything in terms of handling their relations and the press.

PH may well be not the brightest, and M continues to misjudge every situation with her need to be centre stage, but then and now, is he or they not paying for solid strategic advice??

It wouldn’t take a genius to say ‘come back, but keep a low profile, don’t post on insta, send conciliatory messages to your father and brother, don’t try to muscle in on RF events, prove yourself RF worthy by going about your lives as quietly as possible for at least two years’ etc etc. And ‘for gods sake, absolutely no talking to the press or even friends on anything to do with the RF.’

There, that’s solid advice for free. Granted they seem constitutionally incapable of taking such good advice.

Didn't Charles say to his two sons to not ruin his final years with fighting?

Of course, the only evidence we have for this is that very reliable tome, Spare.

Reminds me of Iron Man 3, when he was so annoyed at the press cameramen pushing in his face that he broadcast to the world his exact home address. 2 days later the whole complex was bombed by helicopters and crumbled into the sea. Be very careful if you really want your location to be secure.

@TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow I can absolutely see that, I've work with children with a variety of additional needs, mild, moderate, severe for over a decade now & obviously diagnosis can be made at any age, which is a good thing & I suppose why he particularly annoyed me is that he went all out saying that's why he's done & said the things he has over the years, (not because he's just a childish knob sometimes!) & then went on to brag about it being his "get-out-of-jail-free card" & why he's just soooo creative...

“It is my get-out-of-jail-free card now, and all the weird s* that I do I just say, ‘Sorry, I'm autistic’.”

Would she really use her own children in some sort of public outing of their father’s infidelity? I have no time for either of them but I can’t see her stooping that low.

I went back to the video and the lines quoted here aren’t on it. Its only the mention of someone’s heart going boom boom boom.

If HAM get the security they want, they will be absolutely insufferable. Cavalcades non stop, swanning around etc and UK will never get rid of them

I think the issue is that they never, ever learn. They're now in their 40's, when most people have matured and learned from earlier mistakes

It's interesting that most people have now forgotten the 'Fake Sheikh' incident that Sophie Edinburgh was involved in early in her marriage. The reason it's been largely forgotten is that she dealt with it, apologised, learnt from her mistake and has never repeated it. She's now regarded as a very loved member of the Royal Family and had a wonderful relationship with her parents-in-law, particularly QEll

Take just one example of H&M's life ~ private jets. M got horrendous press reports (& rightly so) after flying by private jet to and from a baby shower in New York. Seven years on and they're still using private jets . . .

If he did say that it was very unfair. I'm sure William doesn't want this ridiculous situation. It isnt as if they're squabbling over irrelevant rubbish.

H has made this absolutely intolerable situation, W has so far kept a dignified silence. KC should not be thinking about how it's ruining his final years but think how it's all ruining Wiliams life and that of his dc. He needs to take more control, get rid of their silly Duke, duchess and prince/princess titles and renounce him publicly. I've known families go NC for much less.

'Sadly H is no longer a much loved member of the royal family, his betrayals and backstabbing know no bounds and we do not support him or any of his attention seeing endeavours going forward his name is Harry Sussex (or whatever)'.

It’s not a derailment for me scorchio , my ds is autistic and my dd is slightly on the spectrum but has become less “different “ as she’s grown, it’s why I don’t like people given a pass for bad behaviour! , i parented mine and taught them correct behaviour and what was and wasn’t acceptable . These diagnosis may explain certain things but it doesn’t excuse them.
