Donald Trump has spoken out. He says he is glad Harry and Meghan have left the US. Says he is not a fan. And says they have shown great disrespect to the royal family and Charles shouldn't have them back. I don't disagree with any of that.

Well if Donald Trump says so …

Damn, now I'll have to stop noticing their flaws and foolishnesses.

Dearg · 03/09/2026 21:43

As much as I dislike the HAMs , Donald Trump has done more damage to more people than those two ever could; thus for me his opinion is worthless.

I mean, seriously, WTF were the US thinking ?

Fixed that for you....

And they say there’s no such thing as mixed emotions.

Trump, really the person you listen to?

crazymommaclub · 04/09/2026 08:24

Does he really not have more pressing, urgent issues to be dealing with?!

He does. Let us be grateful that Harry and Meghan distracted him, even if only briefly, from screwing up anything more pressing or urgent, such as the White House structure, or peace in the Middle East, or the financial position of practically every country in the world.... Everything he touches turns to shit.

icursethemallout · 04/09/2026 10:48

If Donald Trump says something I am generally quite relieved to disagree, the same in this case.

I think Trump got asked about it at one of those free-for-all ‘pressers’ and it was an opportunistic question from a journalist, and Trump chose to answer.

It was probably easier to muse on H&M’s stupidity than muse on the geopolitical implications of his own, so he took the question.

Maybe. But he didn't dodge the question. I listened to the recording and thought his reply was quite measured and sincere and supportive of Charles and the late Queen.

I don’t think there is anything supportive about chiming in on someone else’s painful and complex family situation.

Trump, to put it mildly, lacks boundaries and decorum.

OneLilacHedgehog · 04/09/2026 13:07

I can't believe some are arguing trump should be listened to.

I think it’s just a sign of how far afield Harry and Meghan have gone with their antics for most.

nocoolnamesleft · 04/09/2026 13:11

If Donald Trump dislikes Harry and Meghan, it does suggest they have some redeeming features, and they just went up in my estimation.

MissMoneyFairy · 04/09/2026 13:11

Maybe that's a reason they left, they had no support from the president so any attempt to make themselves popular with the people would have failed.

redboxer321 · 04/09/2026 13:13

Donald and the rest of his loathsome family are the only trumps that I fail to find funny.

That guy enjoys similar support according to polls.

Trump would tank their ratings even further if he said anything positive.

But the point is Harry has made it not just a family situation. Harry moaned about his treatment in front of millions of viewers on Oprah. Then he wrote a book with more complaints. He wanted the whole world to know about his perceived illtreatment. He thought they would be appreciated more in the US. Seems not so they're back. For now.

It is a huge badge of honour to be denigrated by Toddler Tantrum Trump.

If you are praised by him you are a sycophant and just as moronic as he is.

I'm delighted he said this since his utterings are largely ignored or laughed at anyway.

summater · 04/09/2026 13:18

I'm inclined to agree with him, I wouldn't disagree with someone just because I didn't really like them.
