Poor William. It's amazing he's turned out as well as he has. I think the Middletons have been brilliant for him. I remember reading about Carole taking him out to the pub for a pint when Catherine was unwell, which is such a simple thing to do, but so supportive. He must appreciate them very much.

Has it struck anyone that all the hype is over the top. HAM couldn't behave themselves and get on in Hollywood where they had more chance of success than they'll have in Blighty. They'll repeat the same pattern of behaviour but in a much more critical environment where, crucially, they'll be far more under the microscope than they ever were behind the gates of Montecito.

Neither of them can exercise any measure of discretion and the first time they blab to the tabs about someone they've met will be the end of their attempts to climb back into polite society.

They might find fellow company in the rest of the Z list celebs who are equally as indiscreet but I can't see the Cotswolds elite brooking any nonsense. I've a sister who's married into the properly posh crowd in Gloucestershire and they LOATHE social media exposure. It's social death to broadcast your friends information and the like and they are ruthless at excising anyone who transgresses. Never mind the MORTIFICATION at anyone who tries the shallow dippy stuff Meghan trots out. She will last ten minutes. It'll be hilarious, but everyone should stop panicking.

It is also reported by Angela Levin that Diana would call Camilla and leave messages saying she had hired men to kill her, telling her to look out of the window and she would see them.

The Metropolitan Police investigated over 300 silent nuisance calls.

Oliver Hoare was particularly concerned about the calls initially due to his business dealings in the Middle East. He asked the police to stop investigating when he was told the source of the calls (private phone lines in KP, etc).

Of course, by blaming the calls on 'young teenagers' who would have access to those lines, who was Diana blaming?

I'm more worried about H - backed by Labour - using his status as a prince with charity patronages to undermine the HoS and take potshots at the reputation of the future king.

Listened to the Rest is Entertainment podcast and they are talking about Meg returning to acting. They think it’s a great idea.

Meg stated repeatedly that chapter of her life was over, Harry stated he was affronted when KC suggested that she keep on acting once married. She clearly thought returning to acting was beneath her status.

Now we are meant at to believe that she will return to acting, yet when she had a 5 year contract with NF and her own production company, whereby she could have put herself into any role she wanted…..she didn’t!

There’s no way she is returning to acting full time. Bit parts/cameos perhaps ….at a push, but this story is just lies to cover up the real story of why they’ve returned….which we have yet to find out.

Reading on the BBC website yesterday, that they were due in the next few days….they could already be here.

She bottled it in July to accompany PH on 3 public events having declared only days before that she would.

Her private 45 mins with KC3 left her feeling ‘humiliated and sidelined’ - which are crushing and debilitating emotional experiences for anyone of MM’s disposition.

Her fragile ego will not be landing in The Cotswolds.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you .
KC must realise what a huge mistake the late Queen made paying off VG. In my opinion it really tarnished QE’s final years and I am not sure that KC will want a similar legacy .
The best thing he could do is - belatedly- make H take responsibility for his actions !

Martin Bashir was culpable in making up the story, but her public behaviour to an inferior was horrendous.

KC will pay. Where do you think Harry gets his arrogance from? Us plebs will understand why a father has do his duty and support his wayward son.

Maybe not to particularly protect Harry but the general RF image. I assume it’s a losing battle as Harry simply cannot STFU

I really don’t think KC can risk getting involved in paying off H’s court cases.

Wait, Diana was 19 years old and Charles was 31 when they stared dating, they got engaged 6 months later and married after 12 months of dating and being engaged. She left school at 16 after failing her o-levels she left Swiss finishing school after only one term. She was however reportedly very creative and a highly sensitive and vulnerable young person. Her upbringing while of course very privileged sounds appalling. She was super extremely shy too. Throwing this young person into the royal family with a husband who did not know what to do with her and couldn't relate was just awful.

I'm sorry but while her behaviour in later years was complex and abusive to some extent, she herself was experiencing a horrendous pressure. I believe she was broken.

She was raised on the Sandringham Estate. From a young age she mixed with royals. Her grandmother was a friend of the Queen Mother, her father an equerry to the late King. Her grandmother married a man much older than herself. Her mother was 18 when she married Johnny Spencer, who was 30. Her sister Jane was 21 when she married 37 year old Robert Fellowes, private secretary to the Queen.
Diana knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted to marry the Prince of Wales. She knew the deal.

I believe she was already broken.

I get that the marriage didn’t help with that, but I think that marriage was harmful to them both. Not just her.

Harry barely knew Diana. He went to boarding school at age eight which more or less coincided with Charles and Diana formally separating in 1992 when they agreed holidays etc would be 50/50.
Even allowing for public school longer holidays - say 4 weeks Christmas and Easter plus 8-10 summer and half terms that’s a maximum of about ten weeks a year from age eight!
He would have been shielded from TV news and newspapers at his school, unlike William. I believe a housemaster or similar sat with William to watch the panorama interview which must have been incredibly distressing for him (the interview, not the kind support of his housemaster).
He really has nothing of value to offer any documentary etc of her life.

As regards Earl Spencer’s version, I suspect he won’t hold back too much on people whom he believes deserving of criticism but I doubt he will do much to dispel the sainted image of his sister.
In other words it will be biased and one sided.

It's a civil case, of course they should settle if it can be agreed. They shouldn't get into the sort of vanity case Harry has just lost against ANL.

As well as being ill advised it's hilarious to see his blatant reverse ferret in action.

Like every other commentator he was completely blindsided by the great return but now it's all 'signs were there for those who know'.

Ditto the freedom flight to a golden future in California is now but a stage in their ever-evolving growth and change. Moving back to the UK, far from bring a retrograde step was always the plan.

Really who would believe this bollocks? Surely better to admit error and thereby actually seem like better people?

Which isn't to say KC3 should pay. If H has done anything wrong he needs to be held accountable.

Yes it’s called intergenerational trauma - hurt people, hurt people.

Her own mother was abused and then banished from her home and children.

PH is carrying on the tradition.

Explains poor behaviour but never excuses it.

It’s on each of us to do the work to prevent passing on our own dysfunctions as a consequence of our neglect / abuse to our own children to break the intergenerational trauma.
