HAM are banking on plenty of love for the adorable hamlets. Much more attractive than the Wales kids (that narrative will be leaked) blah blah

Is it my imagination? Apart from Jobson's essay this morning, compared with all the reports of the HAM (or should just be H?) homecoming in recent days, the papers seem to have gone quiet on the subject - probably waiting for more clickbait fodder from across the pond.

Yes, thank goodness - only Hello mag with out of date headlines in the supermarket this morning. The papers have real news on the whole.

Mylovelygreendress · 25/08/2026 10:06

Still not convinced Meghan will stay more than a couple of days .
A sob story will then appear that cold, nasty Catherine refused her gift of spread and sprinkles .
That W and C are jealous because the HAMlets are KC’s favourite DGC and the public love A and L more than the stuffy Wales Dc.

I can’t access the archive link - might be my phone? - but comments are always available on the original even tho unable to read the main copy - and these are very entertaining if you select highest rated and then afterwards lowest rated. Don’t think you get the comments on the archived version. The number of comments - in the thousands - much more than usual is very telling. If anyone has the energy or inclination to give me a 2 lines on the gist of the piece I would be grateful. From the comments I picked up that the Sussex PR have a pattern - leak in detail, get loads of coverage and then clapback claiming press intrusion and lies to prove themselves right and push for security.

I managed to read one of Rebecca English pieces from a few days ago where she stated that she had unverified info that H&M in July visited a celebrity’s mansion to buy / rent - wonder if this was Geri’s? Surely they can’t move there now as I would imagine everyone knows where it is ? But it would give a clue to the schools - and it seems to be near Althorp which might indicate a NF docuseries ‘a year in the life of return to UK / Diana anniversary / a harmonious conscious uncoupling diary’ take your pick. But not sure how they pull that off if MM is the otherside of the world most of the time ‘leading her collapsing online UPF & Tat business’ from their other international bases.

Perhaps this means they are now in the UK but no press can report it as they can’t reveal where, what they are doing etc. for privacy reasons so they are just ignoring them? Or perhaps HAM are too busy packing to leak anything?

To be honest I would love the press to decide to just ignore them completely - they do want to be private citizens after all - and write absolutely zero about what they are doing but I get that the press want the clicks online and that they are the King’s family which creates public interest.

They didn’t quite get the wedding they wanted ; Harry said that they wanted WA or St Paul’s but were told no . They also didn’t get a red carpet .
And remember it was a spectacle for the masses !

And remember it was a spectacle for the masses !

Well they're certainly a spectacle now!

In fact, now would be a great time to launch a reality show, while we are all still looking.

This is how it goes with the Sussexes - big news but it dies off quickly. People are not surprised and chalk it all up to " oh it's them again" . They don't sustain any headlines without the drama.

notimagain · 25/08/2026 09:18

To my mind the DM author nailed it here:

"They walked away from the rota in 2020 and replaced it with something less accountable: chosen outlets, friendly sources, briefings nobody can check. The old game of divide and rule.

And the British press plays it. No tabloid walks away from a gift, even knowing it is being played, even knowing the story is sugar-coated Sussex nonsense. It has served team Sussex well. It has served the truth badly.

Watch the shape of it, because the shape never changes. A story appears – sympathetic, detailed, sourced to nobody. Denials follow. The backlash arrives on cue." (my emphasis)

"Then the backlash itself becomes the story: the hostility, the intrusion, the danger. And from that comes the demand. Protection. Sympathy. Another documentary about being hunted"

Didn't we see what is described in the paragraph I emphasised pretty much played out exactly as described yesterday in the context of the meeting (or not) with the Horner's?

And the exact same with The Gentleman acting job with Guy Richie.

What sad is that H&M think they are smart playing 4D chess wit the media and general public - but they get nothing out of this nonsense. H&M inadvertently hand the press at least 3 bites of the cherry for each iteration, retraction, clapback of a single story - for the media that’s 3 x $$$$$. The general public get free entertainment from the H&M circus - look at the comments - there is zero support for them - they are not moving the dial positively on their reputation with these stories - in fact they are inadvertently diminishing their own brand. Everyone is laughing at these fools.

Their whole modus operandi is an absolute mess. It seems to get worse and worse. They are an entertainment show for the masses now and nothing more. The two of them have created their own reality, but I feel so sorry for their two children who will grow up very damaged I fear.

Meghan never really understood the difference between royalty and A-list celebrity...

Nor the difference between royalty and Hallmark movies/Disney Princesses where all they do is wear tiaras, fabulous clothes and float around the "Royal charity ball" 🙄

So she conducts herself as if she was an actress ... planting PR stories, leaking information and telling friendly paps her whereabouts.

SqueakyDinosaur · 25/08/2026 10:54

TBF Diana used to do a lot of the same stuff, but she also combined it with some genuine charity work which directly benefited the organisations concerned.

Badvocthebad · 25/08/2026 11:01

My 80 year old mum this morning:
"I see Harry and Meghan are up to their shenanigans again <eye roll>"
She - like me - is anti monarchy, but we are both feeling sympathetic towards W&C.
What on earth do they think they are doing!?
They're just so...tawdry

She did. She also squeezed in lots of clandestine shagging around with other women’s husbands. She was a busy bee.

Gerry's current house is not in the Cotswolds but is close - near Banbury in North Oxfordshire/Northampton borders.

There were rumours a few months ago that the Horners were looking at the Edgcote Manor estate in the same area that was most famous for being Netherfield in the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

I don't think the press will reveal because of the kids - it was interesting that there were zero leaks about where the Unsussexfuls were in July when not at Althorp...

I doubt they will be able to manage to keep it quiet for long as Meghan will not be able to resist dropping hints

Please don’t forget “ frothing “

And, having scolded us all to "get a life" and "stop obsessing over people you don't know"....

...they then log off by announcing "well, I've got better things to do! Off to take the dog for walk".

Lifestooshort71 · 25/08/2026 11:19

I hope the hamlets' schools are never divulged; I hope the house/village that they settle in is never leaked to the media (social included). I'd like them to arrive, settle and try and make a go of it without all the constant rumours and speculation that fill the papers and the internet. I'd like HAM to STFU and crack on with their lives in private. The soap opera based in Montecito was vaguely entertaining but I never expected it to set up home in my back yard. 😩

My df is the same. He’s a staunch republican but has a soft spot for Catherine and is warming to W because of his genuine support for football. When I spoke to him the other day he had some interesting Scottish swear words for H and a ‘wtf is he f£&king playing at’?!

Children don't miss relationships that they've never had.

It would be different if they were already close, and something happened to break that, but in this case the cousins have never met.

And we've already seen how the Wales children have been protected from physical proximity to MM by the RF women on the few occasions that have been relevant. At one of the gigs, Charlotte was caught on camera accidentally and unwittingly getting too close to MM, and then turning tail and scampering back to her mum. George was in tears at the Sussex wedding, and the nanny stepped in.

Do we really thing the Wales children - knowing full well who A & L's parents are, and probably - are going to be all breezy and happy to strike up a carefree friendship with them? They are going to be wary and reluctant, because they have had their own experience of this couple, in real life and in terms of knock-on effect.

It really does. H is so delusional he thinks he'll be welcome back by the British public who adore him 😳

Yes, hard to believe he's still so deluded 🤷Spend an hour online and you'll see exactly how disliked and unpopular he is, even worse with his wife. I wonder if reality will ever sink in with those two?

Not forgetting H and Meg laughing when Charlotte fell on the balcony and was very upset. Meg turned it off when she realised camera was on her

Their biggest fear is not been reported on/ talked about

rocklivia · 25/08/2026 11:47

Harry still thinks it's 1997. I have a relative like this who left the UK years ago. They have no understanding of the huge social changes that have taken place.

Treylime · 25/08/2026 11:48

Of course they don't. Plus there is quite a big age gap between George and Archie. What 13yo is interested in a friendship with 7 yo from a different country who he has never met and vice versa, a 13 yo is like an adult to a 7 yo.
