... can you explain it to me? So many comments on media articles etc saying oh it's because the kdis aren't theirs, they're actors, they have no kids, they just rent them for photos.

Archie was born in England, the Royal family met him, she was photographed with a tiny baby.
Do you think it was a doll or someone was paid to hand over their baby for a photo?
Who are these people who rent our their kids for photos? Why don't they sell their exclusive story for millions?
Why has no one around her, or where the kids reportedly educated, done the same?
What happens when the "kids" become adults and can't reasonably be kept out of sight? Will they "kill" them off, come clean or adopt a couple of fake actors to play the role?

@BigWillyLittleTodger..you forgot tawdry!

People are still talking about Hitler, Stalin and Jack the Ripper! Your point is?

Waits for the inevitable response of are you seriously comparing Harry and Meghan to Hitler 😂

Yes! Tawdry! Perfect description of the pair of them!

Good for them. To stand outside with a complete WALL of photographers flashing cameras at you days after giving birth is obscene
I admire h&,m doing it their own way. The antiquated royal system needs a shake up and they managed that!
Regardless of this line of succession that everyone bleats on about
Who cares, they'll never be taking the throne, William is locked in along with his poor son, bless.him

You're sounding like Harry in his book . You have no idea about how William feels about this.

Indeed! But they certainly “shaked things up!” 😁

I think they shone a light on the media and the monarchy

What does this even mean? How?

Giraffehaver · 25/06/2026 00:36

What a ridiculous and horrible theory. Even if you don't like the parents why bring the kids into it? They may well read that about themselves when they are older

Everyone here seems to be in agreement that it’s ridiculous.

Doubtful it will confuse or upset the children if they read it though. Surely they themselves will know better than anyone they indeed exist, right?

We do know how Kate feels about it as she talked about it on that Mum/Baby prodcast - she said something like it was very nerve-racking having all those people out there but at the same time she and William were grateful for all the wishes of goodwill and the interest in their baby, so she felt it was important to acknowledge that by doing to the steps appearance.

George was the only one where they stayed long enough to answer questions from the press - you can see how new and slightly overwhelming it all felt. For the next two they just did smiles and waves and went back in.

NotTalkinBoutTheLinen · 25/06/2026 01:56

Did Sarah and Andrew do the steps thing?

simpsonthecat · 25/06/2026 06:48

jeffgoldblum · 24/06/2026 23:57

Because they do ridiculous things!! , and I’m confused? On the Andrew thread you have found that the LOS including him to be problematic, now it’s not important!
care to clarify your stance?

Care to show me a post where I have ever mentioned the Line of Succession and it being problematic with Andrew in it. I have never even typed the word LoS because it is irrelevant AFAIC; we know who will be the next Monarch and the one after that. You are muddling me up with someone else hence your confusion, stance clarified as requested!

I agree. There was something increasingly Gilead about poor, obedient Kate all blow-dried and made-up in heels on the steps of the hospital only hours after giving birth. Especially when she was in that red and white horror and TIGHTS. Ridiculous and unrealistic.

Meghan must’ve thought ‘what absolute freak show have I married into?’ Totally admire her for refusing to be a brood mare/show pony/Stepford wife.

Meghan did a deal with her great friend Gayle King/CBS instead, embargoed her photocall with the press so CBS cameras/journalists (one of a handful of media outlets invited by the couple) had coverage for their flagship breakfast show with King allowing for the time difference with NY, wore a beige horror (completely unrealistic for women still bleeding post partum), and consented to her friends participating in a sit down with King in the immediate aftermath to discuss her wonderfulness (denied of course, but what sort of good friends would do this without her permission?).

Meghan currently puts out near daily trad wife videos. She wafts around in white designer clothes and immaculate hair and make up whilst gardening and cooking, being the model of a 1950s style hostess - having the girls round for midday cocktails, making jam, breakfast for her man, and serving her kids elaborate fruit arrangements every day, whilst advising her devotees to do the same, because this is her “love language”. Stepford Wife, you say?

literallyevery · 25/06/2026 07:47

If she used a surrogate explain why she was so puffy in the famous walking out with the baby appearance with Archie?

MrsEmmelineLucas · 25/06/2026 07:47

Good points, @Bloodorangesoda. Not only did Meghan not do anything differently, she doubled down on the traditional role.
Nothing was challenged, nothing changed apart from her presenting herself in high heels and full makeup for her post partum photo session at Windsor Castle, as opposed to a quick appearance before getting into a car.
Meghan is very definitely not about modernising or changing anything, and she certainly didn't do that in her brief tenure as a working royal. It's all about the fashion and the flowers.

Yes nothing changed, she just commercialised it. Did someone mention symbiotic relationship with the press….?

You have misinterpreted my post. I was referring to the fact that the previous poster said William was locked into the monarchy and oooh bless his son. Criticism shrouded in false empathy.

Symbiotic is correct. They didn't modernise anything, as you say. Just monetised it.

I see there is an article in the DM today by Julia Lawrence talking about Catherine and why did she not tell us what kind of cancer she had. Here we go again. Julia herself had cancer and loves to talk about it seemingly. Took me back immediately to all the posts on here questioning this and if indeed it was even real. An ugly time yet here we are a few years on and it's still ongoing.

You seem to not know that we have been very much told what they feel from cream on his dick to his feelings about his brother and many other targets. I'm surprised you can't see the difference.

that lasted a short time and yes it was awful, but was a short time. only mentioned now by one poster.

I mean I suppose “Poor Kate” could have followed Meghan’s example of non cooperation with the press in matters of birthing royal children. She could have filmed intimate delivery room footage of her “bitch dropping” (sorry to type that, but it’s what the modernisers call it) whilst Big William points at his, ahem big willy, saved it up and released it years later when she needed a bit of self publicity to promote her - not at all Stepford Wives - jam and pancake mix business.
