If you don't believe the Sussex children are real....

... can you explain it to me? So many comments on media articles etc saying oh it's because the kdis aren't theirs, they're actors, they have no kids, they just rent them for photos.

Archie was born in England, the Royal family met him, she was photographed with a tiny baby.
Do you think it was a doll or someone was paid to hand over their baby for a photo?
Who are these people who rent our their kids for photos? Why don't they sell their exclusive story for millions?
Why has no one around her, or where the kids reportedly educated, done the same?
What happens when the "kids" become adults and can't reasonably be kept out of sight? Will they "kill" them off, come clean or adopt a couple of fake actors to play the role?

Good for them. To stand outside with a complete WALL of photographers flashing cameras at you days after giving birth is obscene
I admire h&,m doing it their own way. The antiquated royal system needs a shake up and they managed that!
Regardless of this line of succession that everyone bleats on about
Who cares, they'll never be taking the throne, William is locked in along with his poor son, bless.him

Can you explain what changes have been made to the royal system as a result of their actions?

simpsonthecat · 24/06/2026 21:42

No changes, the palace doesn't do changes that's why we are stuck with this antiquated system
However how they and the media treat someone who is a bit different from the norm will be interesting to view in years to come

Right. Well that does contradict your claim that they changed things and shook things up.

So no changes. But you think the media has changed as a result of them? Can you say what they did that you believe will cause the media to react differently in the future? Which specific actions?

Instead she appeared soon after the birth for a photoshoot in Windsor Castle in high heels and a white dress, hair and nails done.
She didn't do anything different really, it was just a couple of days later.
Meghan is no revolutionary, she's a very trad wife in the kitchen with all the jam and the flower sprinkles. Nothing wrong with that, but she's certainly very traditional.

Yes. People like to fete her as some monarchy-disrupting icon, but she’s clearly in thrall of the whole thing, hence the monogrammed stationary and the insistence on titles.
I was a big fan at first, especially when they announced Archie would go by Master, and when she seemed more outspoken on social issues. Now it’s trad wife central.

I never said they changed things. I said they shook things up

I don't agree with you in any way, shape or form

No surprise there

How they treat the next married in will be interesting won't it
....

Well the latest married in was a divorced, single mum and NHS worker.

But what does that mean?

Shaking things up means to change things.

I think they shone a light on the media and the monarchy

My dd is 3/4 white and still looks mixed race. Meghan’s children are extremely pale, more pale than many fully white people.

I have seen children that are 3/4 white that are darker than their 1/2 mixed parent. You never know what colour anyone is going to be, what does it matter anyway.

I actually agree with you on this.
I think they bent over backwards to welcome her (trip with Queen v early on, offers of mentoring etc etc.)
But it’s still an archaic, deeply messed up institution, with a weird symbiotic relationship with the media, and in great need of scrutiny.

Well the latest married in was a divorced, single mum and NHS worker.

And the previous one wasn't aristocracy.

There was a lovely photo of the Duchess of Gloucester with her granddaughters at Ascot last week, including her part-Maori granddaughter.

What light? They love the limelight and being royal. I suppose they shone a light on themselves.

Seriously, it's not hate, it's ridicule. I defy anyone to watch Harry and Meghan's twerking video without a hand over their mouth and their eyebrows in their hairline. A colleague showed it at work and that was how all of us viewed it.

They are both ridiculous, and if you're in the public eye, whether you're David Icke or Katie Price, people will take the piss if you behave like a prat.

Hate is when you claim that a young mother recovering from cancer has been murdered by her husband, because she hasn't been seen during her recovery. That's sinister, and there's a world of difference between that and taking the piss out of the many opportunities that both Harry and Meghan have provided.

That twerking video was totally shameful. They are an embarrassment. Titles removed and Harry and descendants withdrawn from the line of succession. Surprised they have got the cheek to show their faces in this country again.

LaMarschallin · 24/06/2026 22:54

Surprised they have got the cheek to show their faces in this country again.

Or, indeed, the face to show their twerking cheeks...<wibble-wobble>

It was a bit cringy. But what makes it shameful?

Disagree 100%

If they didn't shake things up why are you still talking about them?!

Because they do ridiculous things!! , and I’m confused? On the Andrew thread you have found that the LOS including him to be problematic, now it’s not important!
care to clarify your stance?

jeffgoldblum · 25/06/2026 00:00

simpsonthecat · 24/06/2026 21:14

Never said they were radical. But the fact people are still talking about them seven years after they left means they shook things up somewhat

There'll never be another Meghan 🤣
Windsor children better be accustomed to marrying aristocracy, British white and fits the expectations 😂

People are still talking about Hitler, Stalin and Jack the Ripper! Your point is?

corblimeygvnr · 25/06/2026 00:19

LipglossAndLies · 24/06/2026 18:36

No but it shouldn't matter it's not some competition jesus. Oh Kate got it so another woman should too. Do you even hear yourself

If you didn't see them as you claim then you have no idea of the depths.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 25/06/2026 00:20

The only reason people are still talking about them is because they provide constant content to talk about! I can’t see how they have shaken up the monarchy at all, nothing has changed, and why would it? They are irrelevant to the future of the monarchy and will get more irrelevant as time marches on, they are just an entertaining side show, a cheap soap opera that we tune into a few times a week.
