Duke of Sussex & Others vs ANL: thread 4

This is the fourth thread discussing the case Prince Harry (and 6 others) brought against the Daily Mail (Associated Newspapers Limited; ANL) for alleged unlawful information gathering (UIG).

The claimants are: Prince Harry (PH); Doreen Lawrence (DL); Liz Hurley (EH/LH); Elton John (EJ); David Furnish (DF); Simon Hughes (SH); Sadie Frost (SF).
They are represented by David Sherborne (DS).
The defendant (ANL) is represented by Anthony White (AMW).

The threads to date have been thorough discussions of the evidence (so far as we were able to obtain it), with posters giving links and explaining their views. We have mostly kept things civil by avoiding partisan discussions on specific Royal Family members, and trying not to be derailed from the topic of court proceedings.
The case has concluded and we are now awaiting the judgement from Judge Nicklin.

We have also included (when things slowed with the title case) other cases or discussions with a specific theme of free speech/press freedom, particularly when related to those with money or power preventing others from speaking.

One current ongoing case is that involving @GwendolineFairfax8 - some details towards the end of thread 3.
The case is in court this week and is likely to be reported on at the end of the week.

Can’t sleep so I thought I would post. Obviously it is clear that I know the complainants against the Daily Mail were lying. I have a wealth of personal information on Hugh Grant - and he knows it - despite accepting a part 36 offer from The Sun.

The celebrity assistants gather - drink expensive wine and chat with no idea who is listening or who should not be there.

Elton John/David Furnish’s PA was and probably still is a member.

I was sending evidence to Antony White and David Sherborne (on the same email) throughout the trial. It made me smile how shocked Sherborne would have been - and then appearing in court like nothing had happened!

I am most disappointed in Doreen Lawrence. This may be controversial but I don’t accept she was coerced. She had time to conduct even the most basic research and she chose not to.

I remember the front page of the Daily Mail and how Paul Dacre put his reputation on the line to try to bring her son’s murderers to justice - and this is how she repays him.

When I saw him arrive in court to defend himself against the likes of Prince Harry and Elizabeth Hurley (I know a lot about her too) I really felt for him. The journalist in my case has the same integrity.

I really hope Hugh Grant does not win. Even though he is not a party to the action - he and Evan Harris (goddam awful man) are behind it and it would be a travesty.

Trust me when I say that HG in the English foppish roles he used to play is seriously good acting.

He is really mocking and disrespectful of the fans who got him where he is. Apart from that he’s a really nice bloke! 😊

I think I know who the insurers are. If I am right it will make the policies null and void (and probably fraudulent).

@GwendolineFairfax8 I admit I’m a bit confused about your case - appreciate you’ve been limited in what you can share so far.

Are you the defendant in a criminal trial?

And is your daughter giving evidence for the other side?

I’m really interested to hear how everything pans out and look forward to hearing the fuller details once you’re allowed to talk openly about it.

I wonder if HG is saying that @GwendolineFairfax8 DD received this money for the information.

Do you know if any of the information you supplied to both sides get used in the ANL court case? Are you able to say any more how this case is linked to the ANL case? Any why it is being held now when there is yet to be a judgement in that case?

Does Nicklin have the information himself?
