It’s been 14 hours since the launch of the 2024 Rose. Nothing has sold out. This is despite it being designed again as a scarcity drop, so it can’t be argued she’s finally got her stock levels right.

  • As ever stated the wine launch going ‘live’ at on the 5th August. Language designed to get you to rush and buy. Just like all this SM shopping you get now.
  • Meghan put out a message many hours ago, stating that they have so much more stock (sad clapback to stuff not shifting) but hurry and be quick because it’s selling fast!!! (It’s clearly not)
  • This launch however, has attracted very little press compared to previous drops

The scarcity gimmick is already tired and because she’s been absent from SM for 2 months…save for a few stock images/videos- she’s lost any momentum she had. She’s putting in bare minimum and her customer base feel it. She’s checked out.

There’s been talk of another series of WLM 3 and Meg getting a new NF contract, but I think that is just to fill the void until she can get WLM2 out. At which point, we will find out if there is any truth in any further deals.

The reason why I doubt WLM3, is that for continuity, you would need the same venue. But the home is now being used to to host weddings etc, it’s no longer a private rental but one open to the public to rent. There’s no way Meg would film in that location now. In addition she would need to have gotten the go ahead already for WLM3 and be filming right now to be able to stick to a schedule. The fact that it isn’t already confirmed, it’s giving the signal that WLM is over (in addition to knowing NF deal is done)

Now if WLM is over, I don’t think she has the draw to pull people to As ever. She doesn’t engage with her fan base enough, she does the bare minimum of SM posts, which she hasn’t even achieved the last few months. The Shopmy page is dead too. This is why the new wine launch has barely registered and hasn’t sold out 14 hours later. Yes, there will be more stock but it’s been designed for a sell out so there won’t be huge numbers.

As ever I think will be slowly wound down. There will be WLM2, with maybe another 18 months of drops. Then like everything else, it will be dropped quietly. Everyone is starting to get a bit bored by the half hearted, very beige effort she’s put into her ‘business’ and have tuned out.

She will have to launch yet another version of herself very soon. We’ve had actress, feminist, activist, producer, philanthropist….now female founder. God knows what’s next!

Do you really want it to be over? What will you do with your time if you can't obsess over a stranger?!

AtIusvue · 06/08/2025 10:25

What a sad post Meg had to put up. Plus if the glass is the next hospitality drop she’s been threatening us with, it’s extremely tacky.

Note- Snow Commerce (fan merch company that runs the business), well wine glasses with merch logos is one of their biggest sellers. Just more standard crap she’s pumping out with zero thought out into it. They also run the paramount shop

I think the 'not selling out' is a purposeful strategy to counteract all the sniggers about the announcements the other drops sold out in minutes.

I think there is very little demand for her products.

Its smoke and mirrors.

QueenOfHertz · 06/08/2025 12:06

Why is the wine cork so bendy?

404PageNotFound · 06/08/2025 12:11

I hadn't even noticed there had been a launch of the rose.

jamnpancakes · 06/08/2025 12:13

That's quite the change isn't it? Loads to sell. The most recent Instagram posts have been made by people with a few followers. There seems to be a lack of commitment or enthusiasm to this batch in her own media. Remember the big countdown to the first " pour" ? It always seems to be like this - either a flurry of mad postings or nothing ! It doesn't keep up the momentum. It speaks of a side hustle.

Vespanest · 06/08/2025 12:14

I can imagine the wine has enough demand to sell at a profit as there is limited overheads, whether it's the start of a billionaire brand is a different matter.

Why is the wine cork so bendy?

It appears like that because she is trying to uncork it on a surface that is too high. Looks very awkward.

Why is the wine cork so bendy?

I don't know the answer to that, but a social media blogger mentioned on the last drop that the corks didn't have As Ever stamped on them. Maybe a coincidence (🙄) but they do now.

Yes it was the most painful opening of wine videos, I’d have reshot it but As Ever it looks amateurish and cheap

Harry was probably filming and trying to text his lawyers at the same time!

Surprise, surprise.. your bashing her cos she when she sold out last time you said she didn't stock enough its all done on purpose and now she has enough stock your bashing her for it. She will never do anything right in your eyes OP.

You say Plus if the glass is the next hospitality drop she’s been threatening us with, it’s extremely tacky

How is the glass threatening you? Seriously stop being so dramatic and chill out. Maybe don't follow her then if you find it so threatening.

Mylovelygreendress · 06/08/2025 15:58

the last time I checked, As ever still hadn’t reached 1 million followers which seems strange for someone so famous .

40coats · 06/08/2025 16:37

To me it's not that the wine hasn't sold out that's curious it's the lack of publicity around it's drop and that other As Ever items haven't been restocked.
This launch feels like a damp squid. There's no buildup, no excitement, no attempt at connecting with people from the face of the brand. Meghan was everywhere a few months back, on TV, a podcast and lots of updates on her social media. It's gone very quiet which is very strange when you're trying to build up a start up company.
I normally couldn't care less about the pair of them but on a human level I hope this quietness is down to them either taking a step back or working on something big. I fear though they've finally realised they've reached a brick wall and don't know how to pull themselves over. Hence the recent reconciliation chats.

MrsLeonFarrell · 06/08/2025 16:44

If she wants to sell and promote via Instagram she really does need to post more often. She might not have started a billion dollar brand but she could have had a respectable business if she kept up the interest online. Everytime she has new stock her followers go up so she has potential there.

Profhilodisaster · 06/08/2025 16:52

Her jam has been 'coming soon' since it sold out in April, if she is going to restock it , then she needs to pull her finger out as it's lost momentum.

Well plenty of posters here have posted comments saying they wish she would go live a quiet life...well now she is living a more quieter life now suddenly we see comments like yours saying she needs to be doing more publicity...

To not understand the point being made.

Posters are referring to a new business and brand launch and noticing the promotion has, very quickly, fallen off a cliff edge.

bluegreygreen · 06/08/2025 17:52

@Spectre8

I dislike both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's past behaviours.

That does not mean I wish the Duchess of Sussex's business ideas to fail; to the contrary, given their young children, I would wish the ideas to succeed. It does mean that I look at them and wonder why, with all the advantages the Sussexes have, they haven't been able to make a better job.

For example, As Ever:
It wouldn't take too much staff time to organise restocking, and updating the website from the first launch
It's not difficult to set up timed social media posts coming up to an event (Rosé launch this week)
Online shop
She loves clothes, and what she wears sells - why isn't this an ongoing thing rather than having no updates? For the sake of a few posts per week there would be a steady income

That's basic stuff I can think of, before anyone with business acumen looks at it (I don't work in business) - and they must have access to any advisors.

That's why I don't understand it.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 06/08/2025 17:55

I always thought ‘as ever’ was tempting Fate.

Profhilodisaster · 06/08/2025 17:59

@bluegreygreen I don't understand either. Why start a business and then just let it drift away? It's not as if she's doing it alone either, don't they have staff? And posting a couple of videos a week is hardly arduous.
