Not listened to the first in Meghan's podcast series, a conversation with the founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Heard, but the Mail has collated all the press reviews so far, with links. The Guardian, Telegraph and i-Paper are unanimous: the podcast is cloyingly dreadful.

CC is updated by staff, surely? Pretty poor show given the hundreds working for them if no-one's bothered or instructed to let the peasants know what they're up to. I don't really do IG and if I ever do look I get a pushy message wanting me to sign up which is annoying.

However. I've taken a reluctant look and there's still nothing beyond March which leads me to believe the Doolittles are as I predicted kicking back for the school holidays.

The podcast also seems to be doing pretty well considering how niche it is.
In the top 10 of all categories, ranking at n 1 in the business category( overtaking DOC).
There seems to be a long- term plan with the As ever/ Netflix business collaboration as well (seems like the collaboration will continue into the 2030's).
This lady seems to be making excellent business moves, totally ignoring her haters and laughing her way to the bank.

If you look at their output though you will see that things are happening behind the scenes that don’t make it onto the Court Circular.

William recently announced for example that this years Earthshot awards will be held in Brazil. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he had some involvement in this decision, and the planning of the announcement. He released a video showing him breaking the news to Nomzamo Mbatha and Robert Irwin. That will have involved reviewing and approving the script, rehearsing it, filming it and okaying the final version. None of that is mentioned on the Court Circular. But it clearly happened.

'Excellent business moves' doing some heavy lifting there. ARO was quite the success wasn't it?

Another interesting part of the podcast was when Whitney(this week's guest who also funded Bumble) gave her take on the UK's Media. When she travelled to Ireland, she noticed that Meghan was on the cover of maybe 10 magazines. She found it bizarre and thought this woman left years ago, moved to another continent, literally doing the school runs in California and rebuilding her life - why is she on the cover of all these magazines? What is there to discuss at this point? This really resonated with me because this was the same impression friends from abroad that came to visit two years ago had. They found the whole thing weird, bizarre, obsessive and ridiculous.

Well it's because Meghan keeps on doing weird, obsessive , bizarre things in public and she is a proven liar. It's that simple.

Obviously we will have countless posts about Meghan being the worst-person-to-ever-walked-planet-earth yawn yawn yawn and they can't possibly stop commenting under every single post and creating 124566789999# threads per month because don't you know that meany-bully- temptress- Meghan is forcing them to watch every thing she puts out and eat her hideous jam.

Oddly enough everyone I know is worried about losing their job, being deported, or being hit by tariffs. We're having ICE raids on the streets of NYC. It must be nice to be rich enough not to worry about tariffs or deportation.

I too wonder why she is on the cover of magazines. To have abandoned the BRF where she could have used her many talents to do so much more than make jam and 'elevate' waffles ? It's a tad underwhelming, I think we were expecting so much more. Did H really plan to give up a 'life of service' for this?

I’d genuinely be interested to know what 10 Irish magazines that Whitney saw that featured Meghan on the cover! There is VIP magazine (which is the Irish equivalent of Hello! and Okay) which seems a likely candidate. But other titles, like The Gloss (which is like Stylist) and a couple that are more Take A Break style seem less likely.

Unless she meant that she saw Meghan on the cover of a selection of international magazines being stocked in Ireland, which seems more likely? Irish posters can probably tell us more!

I wonder if this is like Meghan telling Harry, and faithfully recounted in Spare, that she went to WholeFoods in Kensington and saw “rows and rows” of newspapers and magazines and every one had “shocking and disgusting headlines” about Meghan. Which of course turned out to not be the case, as WholeFoods in Kensington doesn’t sell print media.

Why would so many people allocate so much time to a woman that is putting out jams and podcasts? Why don't they create 2345677888 threads on the other Royals then? At the end of the day, they are the interesting ones right?
The only ones that are living a life of service right? Why not create a thread on the latest charity endeavours of W&K . At the end of the day, Meghan is a mere mortal that has to lower herself to ....work and earn money and pay her bills, including security bills( I knooow the horror).

I think more space and attention should be given the working royals, at the end of the day they are the ones we are paying for and the ones representing the UK.

So were these UK magazines on sale in Ireland? How would Whitney know which were UK and which were Irish? Or does Whitney - or Meghan - think that Ireland is part of the UK and all media on sale there is UK media?

(And I can't imagine that Meghan has been on the cover of ten different magazines at the same time at any time since her wedding.)

Yes, it would have been UK magazines, its only VIP magazine that is the gossipy Irish celeb magazine, as the previous poster mentioned.

It also would depend on the timing of when she was in Ireland, if it was around the time of Oprah, Netflix, The Cut or any of the other media engagements she did, then it is likely she was covered, knowing they pay for features and publicity its not that unusual she would be featured.

what Farmers Journal, Ireland’s Own, Irish catholic Herald? I’m wracking my brains what magazines Mehhan would be on in Ireland. We have a small population & most Irish people either actively dislike the British monarchy (if not the individuals) or have me hi who cares ferlings.

They are the King and Queen. This is the royal family board. But no one wants to post anything about them. About any of them actually.

Not weird at all. Any such discussion would rapidly be overtaken by choruses of “NotMyKing”, parasites, Doolittles, references to tampaxes and side pieces and reminding us that Camilla is old and not as beautiful as Diana, that she and Charles are morally bankrupt, (particularly given they have recently celebrated their wedding anniversary) and whatever else is the favoured topic du jour.

And if you don’t think that is the case, you clearly don’t read here very often!

It's one hell of a lot more than that, and well you know it!
