Not listened to the first in Meghan's podcast series, a conversation with the founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Heard, but the Mail has collated all the press reviews so far, with links. The Guardian, Telegraph and i-Paper are unanimous: the podcast is cloyingly dreadful.

The reviews for Meghan Markle's latest podcast are in! Two stars for Confessions of a Female Founder https://mol.im/a/14584193 via https://dailym.ai/android

No lens, no, but we did get a new word:“freeness”.

She described how happy her children were in the joy and freeness of their lives.

The lady doth protest too much!

The woman who greets M totally ignores H. That’s so rude. He does look really down.

Shame a thread about a child had to be deleted.

What is wrong with people?!

I didn’t manage to read most of that thread but I recall there have been unpleasant comments about Louis ( and George and Charlotte) in the past from the SS .
It is a new low to pick on young DC.

myrtleWilson · 24/04/2025 07:37

What happened on the Louis thread?

In her speech at the 100 thingy, she said something like, things only get brought to her attention on a need to know basis , I'm guessing she means things written on social media , so she must have briefed her team to let her know if anything is written about W&K as she seems to always release something similar whenever they do .

I just don't believe this. Her entire shtick is clap back. In her latest podcast, her friend didn't have children so she can't lean to her working mom persona, but she gets in that her guest is the kid's auntie, clapping back at their lack of family. She is your hairdresser, it's all so transactional.

The Time 100 thingy was also clapback. Really happy people don't have to keep telling you they are happy. And frankly, given the COL crisis, there should be no reason for her not to be happy and joyful. I probably have 1% of their wealth and I thank my lucky stars every day. I don’t go around boasting about it!

JADS · 24/04/2025 08:16

Is the Time 100 thingy is a pay to play situation? Because she isn't a CEO, she has a drop shipping line and a ShopMy page. Time used to be a proper business magazine, mind you that was 20 years ago.

I remember Charles being very snippy about the public's adoration of Diana and how he was ignored. Not good.

Mylovelygreendress · 24/04/2025 08:20

I suppose the difference is that Charles never adored Diana the way Harry adores Meghan .

LaMarschallin · 24/04/2025 08:25

He doesn't seem to mind the Queen getting attention.
Is there going to be a new "But Charles..." trope?

I agree, Harry did look down. He was ignored when they arrived, particularly by his wife who tootled off while he was reaching out a hand to her, and he then had to scurry after her to keep up.

Uricon2 · 24/04/2025 08:43

She wants to be a star in her own right, like Diana became. She is not Diana.

Dolaly · 24/04/2025 08:56

The ‘I’m the happiest I have ever been’ is quite comedic in light of the show, podcast and business being flops in every sense of the word., (except for the massive PR they got, in the ‘no publicity is bad publicity’ vein)

Harry certainly doesn’t look like he is the happiest he has ever been, he looks miserable when he is with her. I bet he detests being her show pony and sidekick.

She is like Hilaria Baldwin, who got all her fame because of her husband, but it’s now a case of ‘fuck him, I married him, his pie is my pie’

edited to add. Meghan and Hilaria even look similar now. The cookie cutter plastic surgery.

Yes, clearly, given the clear link to Netflix - in Meghan’s introduction the interviewer mentioned Meghan’s Netflix connection and also said that Ted Sarandos, the CEO of Netflix is at the Time Event. (Also - Blake Lively was a speaker at the event. It’s unlikely given her current PR woes that that was not arranged by her team as part of shoring up her reputation).

And yes, how the mighty are fallen! The former powerhouse Time magazine giving Meghan a platform to gush about her flower sprinkles so:

”Oh my gosh! You’d think I’m a little fairy tossing them around all the time. The obsession that has come with flower sprinkles. Of all things we could be talking about… it speaks to the tiny moments of joy that are so effortless and create a little bit of magic we’re all craving every day. The level of charm people have when they see these tiny little dried petals is something I can’t wrap my head around but appreciate. There is a love for the detail and a small level of delight that can be added.

She isnt boasting though. In a world of constant negativity and moaning it's nice to hear people are happy. If I'm asked how I am, I'll say I'm happy because I am. I'm not going to downplay it incase it is seen as boasting. Why should anyone have to. There has been a COL crisis for years now does that mean we should just all be miserable or tone down our happiness cos we wouldn't want to offend anyone. You can be happy even if things are tough, happiness isn't measured by wealth.

BraveKitten · 24/04/2025 09:10

That interview!! All affected and self congratulatory as ever. What is wrong with the talk host she is literally licking MM's boots? Who forced whose hand to make this interview happen? The talk host comes across as vacuous as MM. The new PR is going in strong but they are unable too actually help improve how Meghan comes across because she's impossible. The merching of the Wales dc's clothes is stalker territory. perhaps harry wants to retaliate for feeling as if the Rf are not protecting his family? As someone else has said, this is all going to end in tears.

Oh and with the ducky video and Meghan's sickly sweet announcement of surprises... are they expecting?

BraveKitten · 24/04/2025 09:16

One thing is for sure if this type of sleazy self satisfied celebrity is representative of the US left of centre, I am almost inclined to think Trump and MAGA types are more palatable 😂

The same narcy self-centeredness as demonstrated by Jessica Sibley and Meg and such types is coming to the UK via social media 🤑

She's so utterly vapid and shallow. And the over acting!!! I now fully understand why her average screen time per episode of Suits was 2 minutes.

MrsFinkelstein · 24/04/2025 09:33

That maybe one of her worst outfits so far - and that's saying something. I can't understand how such a beautiful looking woman can make Ralph Lauren look so bad.

According to the website bodylanguageproject.com a clenched fist ‘is a sign of repressed aggression.’

“I really want to strike out at you due to my emotional distress which is why my hands are balling up into a fist, but instead I’m going to resist because it’s inappropriate to hit people.”
