Tick tock. The media are putting the pressure on the Royal Family. The goodwill was never going to last once the Queen died. At the end of the day they're not born special and it's time we stopped the charade that they are.

Just feel it's a bizarre article especially under the Royal Family heading.. Are we supposed to read between the lines here or is this all innocent?

I thought it was strange the independent published it too, and so recently. I think they also mention how close Rose’s home is to Anmer Hall. It all feels a bit loaded and cryptic to me but I thought I might be imagining things (sleep deprivation courtesy of my 3 month old and preschooler)

Yes, and it was all made-up apparently by a couple of spiteful people? There was a MN thread on it that seemed very informed on the timings, and named a couple of names.

The real gossip is that PW is meant to actually be having an affair with the old Chumley fella, not Rose. Allegedly.

I previously read that if newspapers can't report on a particular story that they put out a seemingly unconnected story instead, which actually does have significance but isn't exactly against the rules to publish.

There's definitely something going on if the papers are writing about Rose out of the blue.

They're trying to say something without actually 'saying it'.

What do others think of this from a normally sympathetic paper?

This Rose is married to an elderly man? He might be turning a blind eye.

It is a long tradition and honour in some circles to share your wife with a monarch.

Oooh I’ve been on this one for ages! Always amuses me how shocked my friends and family are when I mentioned this well known affair. And to be fair, I believe it is well known in lots of circles. I do have a feeling she is firmly a mistress though. Royals have had mistresses since the dawn of time. I think what seriously muddied the waters was that she was actually good friends with Kate before it all came out.
