I read reddit thread & apparently Tattler had a similar post up today which they deleted. The deleted tweet was posted in the thread. What are they trying to say here? Wierd the Independent & Tattler would both put up a post about Rose on the same day..

Shit for the DC, of both families, to have the press constantly stirring away at this. But as there's no let up, my random bit of speculation:

Perhaps it's Catherine and Rose who are the item?

The real gossip is that PW is meant to actually be having an affair with the old Chumley fella, not Rose. Allegedly.

there is an interesting article saying that he was moved in to KP staff

My word, is that to do with the pegging?

I can't imagine Kate and William getting divorced. If anything, they'll remain married but live separately - whichever one of them spends the most time in Norfolk will be the one with the chum in Norfolk. 😉

Giles Coren said he made that up. Did he make up that he made it up? I wouldn't be surprised at anything that waste of skin did.

It’s not a surprise if he’s moved to KP staff. He stopped being Lord Great Chamberlain when QEII died. It’s a rotational role. When Charles dies it’ll rotate back to him if he outlives Charles (he’s over 10 years younger so likely to do so). If he doesn’t it’ll be his eldest son.

The press are just pissed off they couldn't monetise the first post surgery pic of cath.

LivelyBlake · 11/03/2024 22:46

There's a lot of photoshop in that photo.

She is wearing a hat so its winter, and the grass is green, so it's summer! Come on! Who are they kidding?

^ THIS. They've been pissed off for a while about photos taken by the family.

Lucy377 · 11/03/2024 23:07

The Press are realising how much money they have lost since Kate went off the radar.

They should be delighted with all this clickbait now, they might leave her alone now for a few weeks.

Casual stories about actors and footballers (with injunctions) going to Sainsbury's or walking their dog. You know something is brewing.

This Rose is married to an elderly man? He might be turning a blind eye.

There were lots of rumours that the husband is gay (although never heard about him being with William!).

I work for a newspaper. SEO teams in news publishing pay very special attention to what people are googling and then they write targeted stories which appear high in the Google rankings so people click on them. There’s really not much more to it than that. It’s about getting page views from content dripping in relevant SEO.

It’s the same reason you find long-winded stories about ‘what time is Strictly on tonight’ etc

I guessed this was the case on another thread but the OP started a thread about it anyway. People will be googling because someone will have mentioned the old probably made up by Giles Coren rumour on Twitter.

Is that 'Cholmondeley' pronounced 'Fanshaw'?

No, it's Featherstonhaugh pronounced 'Chumley'. 😂

Or was he put under pressure to say he'd made it up?

HornMeister · 12/03/2024 00:52

On the reddit thread linked on this page it posts a tweet Tatler also had up about Rose today linking to a sort of fluff piece... But Tatler deleted it then.. Odd both publications would have it up the same day..

Very random. They must have been banned from writing about something, this is all just very telling. The timing etc

wevegotthepower · 12/03/2024 01:28

I've got insomnia and can't sleep which explains my odd take on some night stuff, but what is the excuse for folk on this thread? It's batshit crazy stuff.

Maybe PW is shagging aliens?

Gowlett · 12/03/2024 01:33

Hmmm. I think folks are bored with the Kardashians. The Oscars, meh. Seen it before. The real news? Boring! So, here we are…

Not odd if they're both using the same SEO approach and tools.

GoodOldEmmaNess · 12/03/2024 07:34

No idea about any of these weird-as-shit conspiracy theories, but just wanted to say (1) if she is 39, why is she dressed like a 75-year-old? and (2) how cool it is that there is someone in the real world (as opposed to Game of Thrones or whatever) who is called the Earl of Rocksavage.

trollopolis · 12/03/2024 07:54
  1. ageist assumptions help nothing. So you don't like what she was wearing that day, or think it inappropriate to the occasion. Fair enough. But don't criticise older women in the way you say it.

  2. that's not quite right, his name is David Rocksavage and he is the Earl of Cholmondeley

GoodOldEmmaNess · 12/03/2024 09:17

I thought that what she was wearing was lovely AND that it looked like the clothing of a 75 year old - not mutually exclusive you know. And it is his son who is the Earl of Rocksavage, according to the Indie article (presumably on account of making it out of the womb seconds before his twin bro?).

HornMeister · 12/03/2024 09:43

@GoodOldEmmaNess I loved what she was wearing too! Classic Sloaney, country comfy chic. I wished I had the swishy hair & figure to pull it off!

OP posts:
GoodOldEmmaNess · 12/03/2024 09:45

Yes, Sloaney. That's why it has an elderly vibe - fashions of the past. A Sloane Ranger's mum. Actually, I put it even earlier. Reminded me of Princess Margaret in the early 70s.
