Quite want Megan to start The Tig up again, anyone else?

Ignoring everything that's been said about them, on a completely shallow surface level I quite want her to restart this and do the influencer type thing that's being bandied about. The pictures were all very pretty and I would definitely give it a visit as I love her make up and fashion choices, not that any of it would be within budget!

I never read the Tig and don't know,anyone who did. I have seen her on a YT channel talk about how obsessive she was over the details of everything to do with its format. So can you tell me what it was about, what it included? Eg, was it like a diary, a sales site, a commentary blog, all of the above?

I've never seen it but I think she should have restarted it as soon as she left the Royal family. There was plenty of interest in her at a superficial level, what does she wear?, her make up is generally stunning, her interior decoration looks nice on the glimpses we've seen etc.
I think this would have been a great route for her to capitalize on with lots of brand deals across the spectrum, I hope the interest is still there if she decides to do this now!

YES… I love the celebrity lifestyle stuff even though I could never afford any of it in my wildest dreams. It has to be some properly mad products though… like some royal noonie candles like Gwynnie did

I think blogging in that sort of format is over tbh. It’s all Instagram reels and TikTok videos now she’d be better off taking that approach.

it's old fashioned and boring now, surely? And normally the blog leads to the big ticket deals - but they have lost the deals and are not thinking of restarting the blog?

I agree, that format is now dated and people also know that a lot of it was pulled out of the realm of fantasy to sell a perfected image of her life. The dear daddy stuff, the love for dogs who were disposed of soon after, the friends love when she has dumped her bestie-for-life (JM) now. Some of it was not even politically correct in places (comments about chinatown in LA I think).

It may be the only remaining option soon. Seriously though, it's probably worth downsizing. That fake-Italian mansion is gaudy and they are never going to use all those bathrooms. It will take a lot of pressure off them and give them a chance of making a decent life together. It must be so stressful aiming for the stars, hustling and being handed deals but clearly not being good enough to fulfil them.

They should have leaned straight into being influencers when they left the royal family, they’d be much happier and more successful.

Deciding to be high and mighty philanthropists without establishing a long term source of income to fund their foundation was barmy.

I hope she revives it if it gives her pleasure and an outlet for her thoughts and interests (assuming she stays away from royal stuff).

I think she would need to view it as a hobby though, it’s never going to fly as a business venture, for all the reasons others have said.

I can only assume that this is being announced to try to have some positive publicity with everything that’s going on. However, by all accounts something like The Tig seems to be far better suited to Meghan that what she has attempted via Netflix, Spotify etc.

Not bothered about her so wouldn't follow anything she does or says anyway.

I don't think she can. There isn't a server that will handle the amount of traffic the site would get, IMO. I love the thought of M making so much money off people who go to her site because they don't like her though.

I know Gwenneth is successful with Goop. I wonder how successful Kourtny K is with Poosh?

What is next after Blogs? It makes me sad they aren’t a big thing anymore, even though I never followed any consistently. They kind of replaced magazines, right? What’s next?

I think people would like her better if she was running something like this consistently. Creating new content that was not related to the RF. The podcast helped, but was too short-lived and the topic too narrow to attract a wide range of people.

I thought the podcast was a good beginner/first try. I also th8 k she can do better. If she follows the Obama to another platform, it will be interesting to see what she decides to do.

I think she has to become more professional if she wants to emulate the Obamas. They have a proper production company and produce more than just Michelle's podcasts. They also have done a load of stuff with Netflix.
The Sussexes seem to be lacking in getting to grips with driving projects through so they need a manager who they are willing to accede to who can get them moving.

I agree! I liked it. There were some bumps in the road, but I would expect that from anyone just getting their feet wet. I hope she does another one. She definitely has a voice for it.

IMO, the influencer days are over in a general sesensenot sure The Tig would be enough to sustain them because if that.

She will find her way forward soon.

If I was advising her (god, what a job) I think a sub-goop concept is the smartest move she could make at this point.
