For anyone still confused about the lies told by Harry and Megan

There seems to be a lot of confusion and misinformation on here regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, so I thought I'd pass on this rundown of the issues that have caused them to lose so much goodwill and support:

January 8, 2020: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle declared they would be Half In & Half Out, retaining public service positions while assertively brokering private wealth.

sussexroyal.com/funding/

This is considered unethical, in the US as well as the UK.
These 100+ Trademarks were also denied by the late Queen as it is, again, considered exploitative and unethical.

www.bet.com/article/hhc24z/prince-harry-meghan-markle-reportedly-trademarked-productswww.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/harry-meghan-lost-their-royal-sussex-trademark-bid-because-queen-ncna1148986

It was only at this point that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex changed their narrative, using the Oprah interview to claim that their resignation as working royals was due to press intrusion, racism within the institution and the racism of the UK press.

Just as previous claims of BRF racial discrimination were debunked by Harry himself, these "misleading" 'racist' British Press headlines were removed from the Oprah interview upon legal challenge. This narrative likely necessitated fabrication since two isolated separate incidents in six years are two isolated separate incidents in six years, worthy of calling out individually but not logically forming a pattern, so "manipulated" doctoring stepped in to form this false narrative which has been debunked due to legal challenge and should be accurately reported:
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/03/14/itv-forced-edit-oprah-winfreys-interview-prince-harry-meghan/

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their highly aggressive PR team are not accurate sources. Underscoring this again, Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, were found to be untruthful in a British Court of Law, with an underlying stated goal of "tugging at the heartstrings" of the public. www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2021/11/10/duchess-sussex-called-father-daddy-letter-believing-would-pull/

TL:DR
They have altered their narrative several times, presumably to suit their commercial and branding ambitions at the time. Anyone can cherry-pick headlines to produce a seeming story or pattern - this is what PR is all about - but the repeated U-turns and contradictions in their claims have lost them a lot of good faith public support.

I like Meghan markle don't understand the hate. I think people are just pissed he didn't marry a boring English woman like Kate.

Attempting to respond to a nonsensical post

  1. You trademark your name so others can't profit off of it. This is normal. Ask Will and Kate.

  2. Press intrusion and racism are still their claims, see their docuseries and Harry's book. This hasn't changed. Please provide what and when Harry unturned on racism within family and institution. Can you provide a source, (copies of old and edited interviews) comparing changes in the Oprah interview or is your source a British tabloid? Thanks.

  3. yes, that's how Public Relations works. You spin so you present the best image. The royal family is good at this. How unfortunate her father leaked a private letter. That's not Meghan's fault, but good for her for being so forward thinking and knowing he'd do it. The court didn't "find" them to be mistruthful. They weren't on trial. That'd be considered purgory.

Don't be ridiculous. People seem to have forgotten that H&M's wedding was celebrated all across the UK. I went to a friend's house and watched it. Thousands of people were waving flags in the streets near the wedding.

It's events after the wedding that have caused bad public feeling.

I don’t think she’s any more exciting than Kate, nothing special at all except in her own head, so probably not the reason people don’t like her.

Sorry OP,

But I don't see why you see half in and out as unethical.
Without any choice at all H was put in the 'job' from birth. What he is saying is that he was willing to continue to serve HMQE, but stop being in the limelight of UK. Just like his cousins. Previously, they (the cousins ) were portrayed as 'helping' the queen while having their own jobs. Don't see what the problem is here. They would have gone off to do their thing in Canada while raising awareness on charities.

Trademarks were done by Kate and William too , so not clear what you mean here.

Initially, H&M did not go into details as to why they were leaving. But push came to shove from the palace and they had to come all out as to what the reasons really are.

Harry did not 'debunk' racism. He may have softened the word, but I would still call it racism myself. It definitely was.

For the hundredth time, Omid did not speak to H&M. He spoke to Jason - who turned out to be against the Sussexes. They did not even know who he was.

There have been no u-turns etc. from the Sussex. Just the press changing things.

ThighMistress · 27/01/2023 19:09

Why didn’t H&M mention all their gripes in the first place?

The complaints were far fewer when SussexRoyal was the plan.

I can't say this enough - your or anyone's sources claiming they are lying are press articles!!!!! Why would u believe the media if we know they twist everything?! If anything believe it from the horses mouth instead...I.e. Spare!

Exactly this! You can't claim they are lying if your so called source of truth is a newspaper article 😅

Harry's ego is out of control.
He is much less important than he thinks he is.

Full quote from the horses mouth

Whatever the cause, my memory is my memory, it does what it does, gathers and curates as it sees fit, and there's just as much truth in what I remember and how I remember it as there is in so-called objective facts.'

DonnaDonna0 · 27/01/2023 20:28

@Noangelbuthavingfun “from the horses mouth” meaning Harry?
Harry could be twisting everything and altering things to suit his own means. In fact I think there’s already a few things that have been proved not to be quite true (How he found out about the queen mother’s death, for one definite example) Just because we can’t trust the press doesn’t mean everything Harry and Megan says therefore is the truth
