Spare has done remarkably well and looks to become one of the top 10 best selling memoirs of all time.
The book did much better than many on this board was predicting.
That is because there is an insane amount of interest in Harry and Meghan.

Free loss leaders on Audible and ' Sale or Return ' with book shops and supermarkets!
And of those actually sold to actual people, most were at a discounted price.

I bought it! It pained me to line their pockets but I needed to read it from the horses mouth rather than just the papers. After doing that it solidified l my opinions of the pair of them.

Give it a couple of months and we'll see discarded copies for nothing all over the place.

Ha this. I wonder if they think they sold enough copies and would like to burn the rest of what is available. There will be a point where they will want to move away from the things they said in the book but don't think that will be easy. I think the book does more to harm their image that to enhance it. Definitely not A list Hollywood material either 😅 despite the royal connections

Excellent. That considerably boosts the chances of one turning up in a charity shop near me so I can read it happy in the knowledge I've helped a good cause which isn't lining Harold's already bulging pockets.

I think a book with this many extraordinarily personal details from any major member of the royal family would have done equally well. I don’t really think it’s due to a huge fascination with a particular slightly dim red-headed Prince, but rather with the whole institution.

Quite. Big chains often order books on a sale or return basis. 3.1m copies might have been sent out. 2m of those might end up being returned to the publisher because they haven't sold.
