Spare has done remarkably well and looks to become one of the top 10 best selling memoirs of all time.
The book did much better than many on this board was predicting.
That is because there is an insane amount of interest in Harry and Meghan.

Just because it appears to have sold lots of copies (even if many of them are sitting in stockrooms all over the country) and therefore broken records, I don't think the Sussexes should be assuming that's a win as regards their popularity.
A lot of people reading it will be anti his stance.

If Harry had written a book about his military experience, even if it included controversial details such as “kill” numbers, it would have had very mediocre sales. Likewise a mental health or even love story journey.

The fact is it’s GOSSIP and REVELATIONS that people want to read. A few die-hard fans might buy Harry’s Guide to Feeding Chickens, but Spare has been purchased majorly by those eager for juicy tit-bits.
