What on earth is going on with Princess Charlene of Monaco?

The latest update doesn't seem to make a huge amount of sense - a sinus infection has kept her away from Monaco since January? I understand that would mean you couldn't fly, but surely someone with her status would be offered another mode of transport to return to her children?
She doesn't look well in the video, I hope it's just poorly shot and that she's not seriously poorly.

Kind of like that but i dont think he was as in love with the woman as charles was with Camilla. He seemed to be comfortable with her though. I think they are still on communicatio if not friends.

Nicole Coste is her name. She met Albert in 1997 and Alexandre was born 2003, so the relationship lasted at least 6 years. Probably longer as in 2005 he was attempting to get the story shut down but he failed and was published first by a german magazine. There are a lot of pictures of him with Nicole and a lot of pictures of him with Alexandre so he wasnt trying to stay under the radar. Apart from getting his lawyers to try.

She has always come across as quite shy and fragile. I can't imagine it is easy for someone like that in the spotlight.

I've never seen a bride look as sad as Charlene did on her wedding day. She may have been smiling but the eyes gave it away completely.

I think the timing (so 10 years is up) is very coincidental. I wonder if she told him she was going to see family in SA then once she was there safe told him she wasn't coming back (after what happened with her trying to flee the wedding). I'm convinced I read something that says the children stay in Monaco with him in the event of a divorce.

And absolutely not judging, as I cannot imagine how difficult it is to leave your children, never mind in a foreign country but surely it would have been easy to live near enough separate lives, with spacious palaces, discreet staff etc, coming together to wave on the balcony now and again, type thing.

It must have been really unbearable for her to flee so drastically. I'm not buying the sinus thing one little bit.

Precisely. We also know he's a philanderer, which is a nasty type of domestic abuse, and he's also a man who reportedly all but locked down Monaco to prevent her fleeing the wedding in the first place. Coerced marriage, that's normal.

Totally, she's defo the one who's bonkers there.

Nicole Coste is black and the rumours are that Albert prefers WOC in his private life. @PearlFriday, the rumour is she’s been living in a house in France for years. Monaco is so small, she is driven in for public appearances then driven home again.

I don’t know whether the children lived with her or in the palace but if she hardly ever got to see them, it might explain why she gave up and left - she might have better access with a public divorce and set access dates.

I do feel really sorry for her whatever the circumstances. Albert was clearly after an Olympian to have heirs with. An Australian hurdler has described how he wined and dined her a few times.

At the time, I did read something about PA going after her father and/or family financially; threatening to grind them down into the poorhouse if she refused to go through with the wedding. Tabloids, of course, but that makes just as much sense as a really bad sinus infection. Poor woman. Poor children!

@Christmasfairy2020 Should be no more than a week! Upper wisdom teeth are very easy to extract and cause far less problems than lower ones. I had both of mine removed in my late 20s (one by DH) and they were literally out within minutes. Close to nerve shouldn't be a worry as the ultimate aim is to get it out without touching the nerve at all. Even if the nerve is damaged, the most common side effect is numbness that improves over time. Good luck and lots of rest & painkillers :)

And to keep this on-topic, I agree it's bizarre why Charlene can't be allowed a discreet divorce if she's allegedly been living separately in France anyway. This is different to running away before a wedding. It's 10 years later, she's dutifully produced the heir & spare, what is there to keep punishing her for? Feel sorry for the twins growing up in such dysfunction and being separated from their mother. I recall the first photos of them after birth and Charlene looked completely out of it. *Just realised a very odd fact from that article states that she knew the sex of the babies before birth but he didn't because he wanted a surprise. What a weird thing for a married couple during an entire pregnancy (??!) unless there's a royal/traditional reason for that.

Gosh, I watched that video interview of her, she really looks unwell, so so thin.

How many of us would let ourselves be parted from our young children for so long, if we had the money to get back to them? Or for them to fly to us.
